  1. Lot of topics on catering at Firhill. Understandable as it as a part of the match day experience. What are the good and bad experiences this year or season? Good, cheap pie at Kirkcaldy. £1.50 I think. Cowdenbeath was also cheap and cheerful.
  2. Our attendances are improving this season. Especially compared with the last couple of seasons. Bottom line is that winning and winning well puts bums on seats more than any iniatives, imo.
  3. Don't think so Jaggy, but I was having similar thoughts. Think he would lack the pace and wouldn't suit the attacking element required, imo. If we get SoD back or a suitable replacement I would like to get Murray back if Archie is rested. Gives good protection to the back four and our youngish squad needs an auld head I feel.
  4. Not any of that DP. He's a grumpy auld git. Ended up doing karaoke, twice, the Cathouse and ended up at some club night which went on to the wee small hours. All on top of a cracking day out in Dumfries. In fact I'm sure I was talking to you at the game, you sexy MF #Goodtimes
  5. I hope the catering suggestions aren't as tough as old boot leather GJ
  6. Happy New Year to all the folk on here when it comes. A prosperous and rewarding 2013 to all. C'mon the Thistle
  7. QoS 5-0, away was a great day out. Turned into a bit of a sesh and I got home about 7 o'clock Sunday morning, but that's another story
  8. Dunfermline home and away, in the league and first half of the Morton game on Boxing day.
  9. A right back would be a decent signing. I see Jonathan Tiffoney left Ayr in the summer but has not been fixed up yet, I think he's alone now If we signed him permanently we would have to pay compensation to Ayr United though. Alloa's right back is meant to be not bad as well. According to his dad's mate I met in the pub a couple of months ago.
  10. Basically Craig will have 6 months/half a season of his County contract remaining. Lets call it £x. We have paying that contract with the help of a generous benefactor, £y. So Jags have been paying £x-y, so far give or take a few quid. This may be zero if the fan has paid all due to Craig. In the modern game Craig is entitled to x and would expect this to be paid up by County if released unless a release payment is made by them. County would expect us to recompense them for that, and Craig would expect the same money from Thistle that he was on at County, at least for the rest of the season. So we have to pay Craigs full wage plus any money County give him as a release clause in compensation.
  11. Thought we missed Forbes big style yesterday. Noone was able to get the ball down or pass it or run with it to any great effect. Suggested before but we should be sitting in more on the road then hitting on the break and exploiting weaknesses as the game progresses. Look at Morton, unbeaten on the road. They over egged the point by just being shit in the first half against us and their players couldn't believe they were only one down. Moore let them stew for a bit then just told them to go and pass the ball. We know the rest. Currently in a mini slump, but we can get back. We just need a bit more steel to go with the silk, imo. Murray and Forbes may be back in contention and I can't wait for a fit Stephen O'Donnell to return. Our poor run has coincided with his wee drop in performance and subsequent injury. C'mon the Thistle!
  12. I guess Jackie expected more from Slane. Maybe get another loan in the second half of the season?
  13. Didn't boo, but we were shit. Also didn't clap team off the pitch. Thistle have ruined my Xmas Here's to a Happy New year
  14. Funny how midtable Falkirk had a bigger crowd than the MotD at Crappielow
  15. Anyone know if anyone is leaving or joining in the upcoming month? The worry is that Chris and Kris could be off due to their current form and lack of game time, respectively. At least with performances like that today the vultures won't be flying over Firhill for long
  16. I feel SoD's drop in form and subsequent injury has had a bigger affect on our form in the last six games or so. Muirhead movi.g to RB has had a knock on effect on Erskine being more withdrawn. Archie has done well at times but has also cost us a couple of goals, imo. Fox has done little wrong and I welcome his imminent return.
  17. Has Mcnamara being sat in the stand had an effect on the teams match performance? The excuses for our poor performance are lame. Plastic pitch? Never seemed comfortable on the surface and at times were amateurish. Lack of communication. Did Erskine and Lawless fall out in Liverpool? Not been a patch on their early season form. Lacked options on the bench? Rowson and Murray aren't going to change a game, imo. Doolan was ok when he came on and acted as a link to Craig. Are Blurple strips conducive to a good passing game on a grey dark day in darkest North Lanarkshire? St least we can't play any worse, can we?
  18. Well we gave Airdrie a late Xmas present of their biggest crowd of the season. The vast majority being Thistle fans, even if they were quieter than church dormice in general. Getting pissed off with our road form. That was the worst performance by the team, possibly this calendar year? Did something bad happen in Liverpool or are the vultures circling for a couple of our players? Not good enough today. Must improve quickly.
  19. Played well in the first hour against Morton. Today we were shite from start to finish. Not intended as an excuse but the players couldn't control the ball at times on that surface and the one time we did resulted on a goal. We have a chronic case of travel sickness. Again the noise of our away support was reminisant of the Jackie Husband during an end of season meaningless fixture. Pass the toffees
  20. All this Forbes cannae tackle banter made me think about Le Chic. He couldn't tackle a fish supper until he hadva few pints after the game, iirc. Forbes is in the team more for his attacking attributes. Also being a lefty I feel he is caught out in terms of tackling in the middle of the park. Was a bit over zealous with his challenge when moved out wide. Probably pent up aggression. We will miss his touch and delivery today as the previous match against Airdrie United was when he started to show his quality as his fitness had improved. Should still have enough to beat them by a few goals mind. Their fans seem totally resigned to bottom or at best second bottom place come May.
  21. I'd go for around 1500. A 50/50 split of home and away fans. Pars brought 400, we'll bring more than that. Car load of five back on the promotion trail to Craigneuk. Section B wank wank wank
  22. Confident of a comfortable victory on Saturday. Supposedly Accies were unlucky to just score three on Saturday. Something like 28 shots on goal to 10 from Airdrie United. They seem to be looking forward to playing the Sevconians next season. Remember they are another team that were not expecting promotion this season.
