How Do I Attach A Jpeg Image To A New Post

I know that there are a few posts similiar but how do you attach a jpeg to a NEW topic.

 

I have tried just copying and pasting...NO

I have used the paste ICON which open a box with instruction to type (Ctrl/Cmd+V). Again doesn,t seem to work.

This ought to work:

 

1) upload your image onto a site such as:

 

http://postimg.org

 

2) once the image has been uploaded there, choose the "Direct link" option, highlight and copy the "https......" stuff

 

3) when you open your new topic, along the top you will see the various icons for bold, italics, underline etc. In the middle of that line is a greenish square (it might be a tree). Click on that, paste in what you copied from posting.org, and...... result!
