Jaggernaut
Anybody seen this? Mildly amusing: The keeper throwing the ball into his own net is an all-time classic.

Where did that come from? Interesting to see behind the scenes at Firhill, even if it's them in their kecks. Ladeez?

Ladeez? Dunno where the Firhill scenes come from. I recognize Bertie, of course, and John Hansen and John Craig (I think), but not sure of the other guy sitting in his undies. That clip came from a programme called "Tackle" which was a spoof prgramme shown before a world cup (maybe 98 - but a bit of a guess) i think. The scenes inside Firhill were shown in a programme called "Current Account" which was a programme examining the state of Scottish Football - would guess around 1978/9 era. I was a ballboy when the current account programme was filmed i think it was 1978 i seem to remember Rangers had just won away at Eindhoven and played the Jags next, which we won of course( whittaker scoring the winner very late on)and there was a bit of good footage of the ballboys celebrating----- wildly shall we say. gianlucatoni
Looks like the late, Brian "Piggy" Whittaker. Did Whittaker no work in the top floor (football) boot room of the sports shop in the late 70's / early 80's - the same shop now occupied by Greaves in Sauchiehall Street - no sure what it was called but Lumleys rings a bell
