sigesige00
I think that summer-time is a ridiculous idea. There is no need for changing time; simply just make the labour hour 1 hour earlier. In the university classrooms clocks are not changed, and that was very confusing. Summer vacation should be at least 4 weeks, and necessary personnel should work only from 8:00 to 12:00. Jaggernaut
Because the livin' is easy. Â Â Â Â Pretty relaxed working hours you're advocating there. Not exactly Japanese style.
eighthoursbehind
In the old Peter Sellers movie "I'm all right Jack" he announces at a union meeting that they are negotiating for a shorter working week in which they would only work on Wednesdays. A voice in the crowd shouts back "Wot every bleedin Wednesday?"

Blackpool Jags
We opt for more daylight in the summer as it allows us to keep an eye on the weans that wee bit longer.
yoda-jag
The Galactic Standard Calendar is the standard measurement of time in the galaxy. It centres around the Coruscant Solar cycle, which is 368 days long (one day consisting of 24 standard hours). Numerous epochs were used to determine calendar eras. The most recent of these calendar eras used the Battle of Yavin as its epoch, or "year zero." BBY stands for Before the Battle of Yavin, and ABY stands for After the Battle of Yavin. Â The calendar is based on the size and rotation of the planet Coruscant. It is a luno-solar calendar based both on Coruscant's orbit around its sun, and the orbit of its primary satellite Centax-1. Â The standard unit of time is the standard second. Sixty standard seconds make up each standard minute, and sixty minutes make up each standard hour. Each day consists of 24 standard hours. A standard week is 5 standard days, and each month is seven weeks. (Making 35 standard days each month.) Â A standard year is 368 days, composed of ten months, three fete weeks, and three holidays. Â In the galaxy: Â * 60 seconds = 1 minute * 60 minutes = 1 hour * 24 hours = 1 day * 5 days = 1 week * 7 weeks = 1 month * 35 days = 1 month * 368 days = 1 year * 10 months + 3 festival weeks + 3 holidays = 1 year
