I know Sunderland are probably a bigger draw commercially but surely fan attendance and rivalry wise we would bring more to the occassion than them? Not sure what the deal would be with clubs having to put up cash to enter a team either which would obviously be a bit of a non-starter. lennythistle Posted June 10, 2011 Report Share Posted June 10, 2011 I'd have thought we could have quite a strong squad for that and would love to see a Thistle team playing at it: Nelson Britton Chico (on basis he remembers he never actually played a competative game for celtic) Cameron Shaw Montgomerie McGlashan Irons Farningham Grant. That could be a good plan! I remember the shambles of our first ever excursion to the Tennents' Sixes, including Jim Duffy stepping up to claim offside. By our last appearance at the Tennents' Sixes, we had got so good that no one wanted to play us ever again. Edited to correct: Actually, I think there are at least 9, amd may be 10 if we are allowed to count Steve Kirk. Kirk was a Jag for a least a season although I'm not sure if he played in the 1st team. Lindsay Hamilton was only on loan though. It's pish though, Sunderland!!!
