Meister Jag
Did I see a 'supervisor' of stewards throwing a Jags fan out in the second-half? My mate pointed this out to me as the guy was walking up the steps. The guy looked looked quite shocked at being escorted out and I haven't a clue what he'd done wrong. Anyone? His language surely couldn't have been any more 'industrial' than mine and there were some pretty heavy comments flying around from fans all around us; just the usual expletives and, under the circumstances, who the f*** could blame anyone for having a wee outburst moment. If thrown out for the use of 'foul and abusive...' then is this the shape of things to come? I mean our crowds are pi** poor enough without picking us off one-by-one! Anyone else see this and did we (I'll blame my mate if this didn't happen!) get this one wrong? Come to think of it, maybe this was an act of kindness and the 'supervisor' was just showing some humane compassion!

There was a guy who appeared to be a Berwick supporter asked to leave, maybe that's what you saw? The guy stood up and cheered their 3rd goal (maybe their second, all a bit of a blur). A couple of Jags fans had a (verbal) go at him, but most of us weren't really bothered. He was 2/3rds of the way up, towards the centre. (I didn't see him when they scored the third.)
lady-isobel-barnett
He was sitting in a cumfy chair (hospitality area). He did "leave" with a steward tho' not at a time when he was cheering. I suppose in the very unlikely situation where he was accosted by a Jags fan the steward would have been found at fault. I say "very unlikely" as those who sit or stand round the hospitality area get used to the occasional outburst from an away fan. The only thing shocking about all that was we gave a supporter of a team two leagues below us far too much to cheer about
thornwoodjag
I saw the berwick fan in hospitality cheering the third goal.then an idiot jags fan heading towards him and shouting something.for god sake when a berwick fan cant cheer his team scoring at a big team without any hassle,we are in trouble. Happy to say i saw a few jags fans tell the moron to beat it.

I just shrugged and clapped back with a wee nod, but a young fan (sitting beside someone with a Club tie on) went towards him in an OTT tantrum...guy in Club tie held the young guy back, then berated the Berwick fan himself. Stupid, and not becoming of a Club 'official' who should know better. Storm in a tea cup and the Berwick fan should not have been asked to leave imo. Bryza
Just one other point on the stewards. We asked a steward to take a quick family photo for us with MacB (the first time the wee fella seen him) and the young steward said he wasn't allowed to take photos??? I've been to many gounds thorughout the UK and usually stewards are more than happy to help.

joe90
do thistle fans go to watch the game anymore or so they can have a moan
H Wragg
Whilst we're on the subject of stewarding, if any supervisors (Brian?) are reading this could you please tell your staff who are standing at the walkways to the stand (vomitoria? ) to stay down in the walkways and not to stand out in the stand itself. I saw a steward having to be requested to move yesterday because paying punters could only see the back of his head depending on where the play was and he didn't look too happy about being asked. The same thing happened several times last season.
Meister Jag
do thistle fans go to watch the game anymore or so they can have a moan What I didn't say is the we sit far-left (cue comment from some of my detractors on this DG) down from the so-called singing end and the bloke was wearing a Thistle top. I don't think it would be appropriate to try to describe him other than he looked pretty gloomy and shocked; but maybe he was happy just to be escaping. But to return to my reason for posting, I thought it worth checking and starting a thread as if asked to leave for voicing his displeasure, then it is but a matter of time before we're all asked to leave; which after yesterday's dull performance might not be a bad thing. Then again, maybe he was just legging it having taken enough punishment for his tenner. But for all I know, the guy might have been psycho who was threatening all sorts and had to be evicted; thus the need to seek clarification. Another point and this applies only if the guy was actually chucked out is: will there be special shouting dispensations for some visiting teams? Thinking the OF and Airdire should they ever come a calling again; or maybe we could match the Celtic fans by turning our backs on the pitch, holding our heads and letting out loud tuts. But maybe that would just be playing into the hands of all those who envy who we are and what we stand for: the living embodiment of downtrodden and terminally depressed! To paraphrase Norman Mailer: The function of being a Jags fan is to raise suffering to a higher level. Pretty sure he said something like that. Clinically Depressed
You must have just picked the wrong guy, because I seen another steward happily taking a photo of a man and a wee boy towards the shed end before the start of the game. It's never been an issue at Firhill the way it has been with some other grounds. Many's the time I've taken pics of fans from trackside with their own cameras - mostly with PeeTee in the picture, right enough. Always happy to do so.
