Garscube Road End
Sorry! Arsenal v Man City and it was on on Sunday! I was just being a pedantic prick mate!! Yeah! I heard that and that Man City returned 900 tickets because of the cost, Utterly ridicolous!
twinny
It was, as GRE hints at, Man City fans that did this. Man City home tickets range from £40 to £58 against Chelsea next month. Taking into account anything in London costs more Man City fans can't argue too much. However the problem is Man City and similar clubs. Clubs taken over by billionaire owners drive up the wages and transfer fees across the football market, in turn causing other top clubs to up theirs in order to compete for players. The result was always going to be an increase in gate prices as the most loyal of fans can be milked for everything they have. Why do you think Man City and Chelsea are against the FA bringing in their own Financial Fair Play rules yet Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool are for full transparency and regulation? jagscast
The banners were removed by the police, not stewards, which is very odd.

twinny
I'd imagine it was the club's word and they asked the police rather than stewards to make the decision more acceptable to the fans who put the banner up.

You can get a season ticket at Man City (an unreserved seat) for £275. "A survey carried out in October confirmed Arsenal have the most expensive adult match day ticket (£126) and season ticket (£1,955) in the Premier League. City have season tickets priced between £275 and £745." Edited January 15, 2013 by kni

twinny
Eh Chelsea are not against the plan Ah, sorry. It was the cash restraint proposals that Chelsea have opposed, along with City.
