peagreenboy
American sports fans can't chant for toffee. It's always too slow.
The Sunnylaw Jag
I looked up their website, seem to be an Irish descent team with a plethora of green and white. However, there was one good idea. They have pub partners, which is a list of pubs in the Portland area who show the games live when their on the road as such, with some sponsorship and advertising going on. Why don't the Jags do that? I know there's only a few that will show the Inverness and Aberdeen games live and cater for Jags fans like Coopers. Why don't the club and pubs get together, so we can get together and watch the games live, rather than sitting at home with the wife hoovering and talking on her mobile to piss me off or down the local where no doubt h*ns and Tims abound.
Lambies Lost Doo
The vid won't play on my phone but the paused scene looks to be Portland Timbers. I watched their reserve team a couple of weeks ago in Portland. Must have been few thousand for reserve game. VERY family focused, 8 different craft beers on offer to drink at seat, lots of stuff we could use in Scotland. Kris Boyd must have been gutted when he was let go and had to go back to Killie. "FC. PT".
ian_mac
American sports fans can't chant for toffee. It's always too slow. Where as 90% of fans in the UK (including us) chant and sing far too fast.
The Cup
That looks like a cracking stadium. The MLS is a good league and getting better all the time.
Yellow & Redneck
Completely agree. The standard is improving year on year. However the league is so horribly overly commercialised. “And this corner-kick is brought to you by Home Depot…” “And this injury break is brought to you by Pepsi…” etc etc.

I agree, and not too dissimilar to Firhill (or how it could look)

However the league is so horribly overly commercialised. “And this corner-kick is brought to you by Home Depot…” “And this injury break is brought to you by Pepsi…” etc etc. I think that's just a factor of the external environment of the league. Without things like that (annoying as they are) the MLS wouldn't have a TV deal, and probably wouldn't be able to exist. We could learn a lot from the MLS (and american sport in general) when it comes to distribution of wealth. Every team has a decent chance at the start of the season.
