Jaggernaut
RIP One of only a small numer of MPs who generally talked good sense. I didn't agree with her stance on some things but always respected her views.
Rid Skwerr
Yes, Scottish politics could do with more independent minded mavericks like Margo. Hopefully her "end of life" ideas go through and make a fitting legacy.
The Jukebox Rebel
A legendary Scottish politician who served selflessly - she was all for the people and was all you could want from your representative really. The lady commanded respect and could always get her points at the forefront of debate. RIP Margo MacDonald x Here's a wee song from her son in law, Craig Reid... I'm sure Margo would approve of the message therein. We've a country to be proud of.
JeanieD
Absolutely a sad loss - I remember seeing her at the Parliament building going round her duties in a totally unfussy but determined manner, people seemed to react with respect to her as she passed. She didn't suffer fools gladly either, which perhaps explains her "independent" status. Edited April 5, 2014 by JeanieD
The Devil's Point
Everything a politician should be. Frank, honest and hard working. Undoubtably a great loss to the Scottish political scene. I didn't agree with a lot of what she said, but you can't help wondering when we'll see her likes again. RIP
Guy Incognito
There is a completely dearth of Margo Macdonalds in modern politics and that is very much to its detriment. A principled woman who spoke her mind and who clearly had little time for the bullsh*t and posturing which often defines party politics nowadays. Regardless of your political persuasion, it would take a hard heart not to have respected her. Undoubtedly, Scotland's political scene is a place without her.
