ScottyDFA
Can anyone help? I'm trying to get a hold of the matchday programme from PT vs Stirling Albion, Saturday 11th September 2010. If you have one, I'll gladly pay a good price for it. If you have one but don't want to part with it, could I borrow it? Scott
Jaggernaut
Apologies for riding on the coat-tails of the OP, but I'm still looking for a copy of the Tennents Sixes final programme....

Scott My programme collection is all over the place but I'm planning to try and sort it out over the weekend in any case. I want to get a few of my favourite ones framed. Anyway, I'll look out for this one. I'm sure I'll have a spare to give you if you don't get one from elsewhere.

sb1876
A bit of a hijacking from me too, my son's first home game was the Dundee Utd game (1st of the SPFL season) and the programmes were all sold out on the night. The wee stall that sells old programmes in the JH stand said they should be getting a load in sometime but after seeing this I wondered if anyone had a spare to sell? ta! a f kincaid
Shameless jump on the band wagon. Looking to fill gaps in my collection. Can anyone tell me if there were programmes issued for these games? Programme numbers before and after the the Nov 85 Celtic and Meadowbank games suggest there were but unsure of the others - especially as some were cup replays at a few days' notice. Thanks. Shrewsbury Town 01-Aug-84 Manchester City 04-Aug-84 Clyde 08-May-85 Rangers 13-May-85 Celtic 19-Nov-85 Airdrie 03-Feb-86 Dumbarton 19-Mar-86 Celtic 04-Aug-86 Morton 10-Feb-87 Celtic 10-Mar-87 Clyde 06-Apr-88 Meadowbank 06-Nov-

The Sunnylaw Jag
I assume the Dumbarton player was Erich Schaedler who committed suicide in December 1985. I have just finished reading the excellent Shades: The Short Life and Tragic Death of Erich Schaedler by Colin Leslie, which I would recommend. It charts his time with Hibs in the famous Turnbull Tornadoes team and being capped for Scotland against West Germany, particularly poignant as Erich was the son of a German POW. It is also quite sad to have Ian Redford speaking of the passing of Erich in the book, given how his life ended in similar circumstances. As an aside Tom, if the programme was never issued; would they have destroyed all the copies or are there a few leaked ones out there? I do realise it is before your time at the helm but I was just wondering.

I knew someone who knew someone involved with the programme printers of the time and I know that a few copies at least were available. I saw one but don't have a copy myself.
