  1. Lol oh yeah, the 'Goat Tae Laugh at Morton' pic and hash tag #wegoatthis Have to say, top idea for a tshirt.
  2. I get your point totally and in fact had the same conversation earlier on. It's very different from say the Forfar 0-0 match as it was all on a knife edge that day. As I will miss it, I'm kind of consoling myself with that point and that the league was really won on Wednesday. Still, that said, if I was there I would would be up for it, more as an outpouring of years of tension and a long awaited celebration rather than a sporadic thing.
  3. Eh, but Tuesday night can win us the league......
  4. Love them. I've been in a panic for weeks that the Raith game would be the clincher and I would miss it due to working in Germany that week. With the last minute winner it seems to have panned out that way and to say I'm gutted is an understatement (relegating Airdrie is a real bonus though). I'll be sending the kids though to invade the pitch on my behalf. Football in Scotland for years has been on the decline in terms of support numbers, atmosphere, quality of product on the park, all seated stadiums. Place on top of that the teams that have very little success and long suffering fans (like us) then Tuesday means one thing only (should we win): PITCH INVASION!......why? because we, The Fans deserve it.
  5. Exactly right, from the other perspective of me walking over with the wife and kids and the North stand applauding then erupting with a 'red 'n yella army' is a moment I will never forget. It just summed the whole situation up. That couple of minutes will stay with me forever and that was before a ball was kicked! Actually still buzzing about the whole match.
  6. I was at both of they Dons matches and we got a right royal humping form a pissed off Aberdeen side. Will always love Lambie. When we had the Livi supporters bus on the go during that period he came out to the 'doos' (call it that to temt him) we arranged. He never refused it, and as long has he had a regular supply of the good stuff coming his way he was a happy camper. Always told you everything straight down the line and genuinly grew to love the club and supporters. Delighted his health is back on track and he made the final and the last Cowdenbeath game. Remember when we had yon march from George Sq years ago (It's at the very start of Grasping The Thistle and I'm the guy in the famous red/yellow/black wooly jumper with the kilt on) and were singing outside the ground and he came over to the wee windae and gave his appreciation by slugging some whisky and offering it out.
  7. Absolute heaven. Drove through from Livi with the missus and kids straight from work. Made the point on the way through that my only regret should we not go up this season would be missing out on the North Stand experience having taken the kids to all the games. Driving down Garscube Rd you usually get an idea of the crowd from the no of parked cars. It was fecking mobbed and it was only 7pm ffs! Parked up, over to ground and huge queues of Morton fans for the excellent main stand! Quick drink in the Aitken Suite and came out in fairness to the Morton fans singing in the queues. Into the JH and couldn't find a seats for us wtf! Looks at the Northy then realises the inevitable had to happen muhahaaahaaaa and suddenly me the missus and kids are heading to the Northy ya fecking beeeeaatttyyyy!!!! Kids loved it and sang their heads off SInging on the wayout, singing 'comin down the road' on the way down the road. Oh man, that was incredible. So proud to be a Jags fan. Can't thank Archie, Shaggy and the team enough for this season. That was fecking emotional.
  8. Can't stand players like that Higgins cretin. Another thing that annoyed the hell out of me was 2 of their players telling that defender to go down that was being substituted (while 1 up). This was right in front of that useless assistant that just played dumb. Blatant cheating from 3 QoS players there I'm afraid and went further than the 'all part of the game' stuff. Really got my goat that, I'm glad we don't resort to that crap.
  9. Archie always talks sense, no BS just tells how it is. Very level headed individual, I always enjoy hearing what he has to say. Well deserved MoM.
  10. Not had the North Stand experience yet as will be in JH as usual with the kids. Will be making a racket though, used to love the Shed in those old halcyon days. *Was about to spell halcyon 'halcion' then realised that was a sedative. Maybe I was right the first time.
  11. We had a conversation there wondering if it fitted the minimum requirements as it looked so small. I think 90m*45m is the smallest allowed but I'm only going with: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/rules_and_equipment/4200666.stm
  12. Yep, the 3 (other) largest pitches, hopefully that will help the cause!
  13. From SFL site , same width but Firhill 7m longer. From largest to smallest in terms of area: Thistle: 105m x 69m (7245) Dumbar 104m x 69m (7176) Falkirk 105m x 68m (7140) Hamil 105m x 68m (7140) Airdrie: 105m x 67m (7035) Livi 98m x 69m (6762) Dunf 105m x 64m (6720) Raith 103m x 64m (6592) Morton 100m x 64m (6400) Cowden 98m x 59m (5782)
  14. I'm with you in this. I've always said that a "supporter" has a job to do. Just like players some are better than others and can control themselves even when what's happening on the pitch is not to their liking. I not saying I'm innocent of never having got on a players back butI can say it's not often and I try to have a rule of positive encouragement when shouting anything (don't bother posting any I'm a better supporter than you pish as that's not the point here). Some people can't seem to wait to get on a players back from the safety of the stands or run them down on a public forum about their display when they had an off day. Everyone to their own but that's not my preferred method of being a "supporter". This team have been brilliant this season, it's not without issues and problems and these seem to be stacked a little higher than usual at this moment in time, but this team have given us many outstanding displays this season and the team need the 12th man on Wednesday, let's give these players the support they deserve on Wednesday and get right intae the Ton and and show them what we are all about.
  15. I reckon Welsh is gonna score as well as Doolan and Erskine.
  16. The more important date is April 11th when the court of session make a decision on granting them full administration. The '2 point' issue is of course dependent on this.
  17. Decent numbers surprised not to see more of these programmes around. Worth a punt!
  18. Didn't realise that, well done to the team and coaches.
  19. Ok, maybe a bit harsh with the wording there, no offence meant but the fact remains he has shafted our club. If he shows up I will be letting him know how I feel about that.
  20. Cheers for that. Glad Celtic made it, the feat wouldn't be the same against the Saints. I've yet to see a programme for any of the Quarters, I've only seen the Final and Semi. Perhaps not a huge crowd as with the group stages so not many printed I'm guessing.
  21. Ah, the old 'Charlie...' post - tedious bollocks. I know I don't have to read 'Charlie' posts, but the first time I saw such a post it was just before a game and I thought it was an actual sensible post, which was annoying.
  22. The quote you posted makes a mockery of your own argument. The exact amount involved is not the issue. What you posted is the issue and this is what has irked Thistle fans. Some like yourself may prefer bury their head in the sand and say the world smells of roses and he performed well as manager so it doesn't matter. Others like me say how dare he treat our club like this and will look forward to letting him know.
