  1. It might be, I haven't read it. But he didn't write it.
  2. Does anyone have the full text of the Mail article? Does it give the sense that the journalist approached the SFA for comment? If so, has the body responded?
  3. I had a ticket, but couldn't go. Friends that did say it was an excellent night and are looking forward to the follow-up.
  4. Shaw, Charnley and Hardie aren't Thistle legends? Okay.
  5. A point that rational minds will accept. As I've said on one of the Facebook groups, the rot set in the minute we finished sixth in the top flight. No one, no Chairman, Chief Executive, General Manager, manager or player (with the notable exception of Scott McDonald) has appeared capable of curing it.
  6. I don't think you follow. The money will pay for the shares and a portion of PropCo. There won't be anything to pull back.
  7. He's gifting the amount necessary to buy the shares and the portion of PropCo that isn't owned by the club, as I understand it. He isn't bankrolling the club. What is it you're afraid he'll pull?
  8. Jacqui Low got a hell of a lot wrong, there's no denying this. However, it seems like rumours of financial mismanagement hinted at by certain people, and alluded to pointedly by the Jags Trust when outlining its reasons for supporting her removal, were greatly exaggerated. As I've said before, Norman Springford is on record assaying he had no issue with the way the previous board was running the club, but viewed their removal as a necessary step to facilitate the sale of the club to Paul Conway and co. He also stated that he was unaware of the statement dated 11 July saying that "existing investors had raised concerns about the direction of the club" and that he wouldn't have signed it off. Perhaps it's the kind of chicanery evident here that led Colin Weir to behave the way he did.
  9. If the sellers are in line to receive £10m cumulatively for their shares (I appreciate a Propco buy-out has also been mooted), then I struggle to believe that *any* of them have made a loss. Btw...I'd expect *every* potential board member to be vetted, regardless of their apparent credentials or whoever owns the club.
  10. Penicuik or Stenny at home. Could end up playing Stenny away/home in consecutive weekends.
  11. Doolan, Hutton, Cairney, Elliott, Paton, Erskine (obscured), Balatoni, O'Donnell. 4-0 win against Ayr on 17 September 2011.
  12. Are you suggesting his professed love for the club is spin? I suppose the other obvious question for you is this: you've said repeatedly that the selling shareholders aren't driven by financial gain and any sale would be undertaken with the best interests of the club at heart. If they decide to go down the TFE/Colin Weir route will you give it your full support?
  13. Can you terminate a season-long loan early? I suppose they could get shot if De Vita to accommodate him. Bringing Doolan back does appear to be a populist move, though.
  14. Miller does exceptionally well there given the ball's played behind him.
  15. 8 in 17. He's now scored more than McDonald did last season - although Kenny's played four more games and half his goals have come against lower-league opposition - and the same as last season's top goalscorer.
  16. That looks like a family heirloom that's been broken out for the occasion.
  17. Before he was bulleted I heard players including Spittal and Penrice say that he's a very good coach. Doolan has since said similar. Perhaps that's where his future lies. Whether or not he'll accept that is another story.
  18. C'mon, Jim. It's clear that the leak came from the selling side. It paved the way for the removal of the board. Did anyone really expect the 'other side' to disappear without putting up some kind of a fight? It's been a pretty unedifying spectacle all-round. Let's hope it's finally coming to an end, one way or another.
  19. Let me see if I've got this right... There was never any black hole. The deposed board had planned for a budget deficit, but by the time they were removed (11 July) the sales of Liam Lindsay (26 June) and Aidan Fitzpatrick (5 July) had plugged the potential shortfall. So they were removed to facilitate the sale of the club to the consortium, as Norman Springford plainly stated at the Q&A. Or am I completely wrong?
  20. Did the highlights clear up who was at fault?
  21. Folk will blame McGinty if it rains tonight.
