  1. correct. It might have been Derek McWilliams that scored the winner (he certainly scored in the game). we had some right good games against Falkirk in the early 90's
  2. what an amazing Jags career. a true legend
  3. hi Bluesy, Derek MacPherson here (Sid). Sorry to hear about your mum, hope all goes well. Have you really not been home that often? I can't believe it's so long since you left here. I contact Billy Coutts & I think he'll go with you & the other guys. I doubt if i'll be there as I dont go often now, the football standard is so bad (not just us) & it's bloody freez...

  4. what a great career!!! made me think about Neilly Duffy as I think he was capped as well. I spent many a lunchtime in Tommy's pub when I was a student at Bell College in Hamilton
  5. why can't we get something as cool as that?
  6. she had a testimonial match & probably other tributes
  7. I see where you're coming from Will, but is the HOF not for players only? If not where do you draw the line? People like Jimmy Aitken and older managers & chairmen would have to be considered
  8. Erskine was on the wing against Cowdenbeath & created hee-haw
  9. Good call about Alan Hansen. I don't think anybody can argue that he was the greatest player who ever played for Thistle (well it's difficult for some of us to know much about Jimmy Davidson, Ma Ba McKennan & many others from the 1950's & earlier). Also good shouts about Danny Lennon, double winning captain
  10. I was chatting to a taxi driver in EK who is friendly with Badger about him the other night funnily enough. Bit of a strange choice in my opinion, but no complaints I suppose
  11. well said that man!!! we've had a few players of that type over the years, John Workman, Willie Jamieson & Don McVicar come to mind, but the Lawman did it for longer than most
  12. Did John Donnelly not pass away a few years ago (or am I confusing him with another ex-player?)

    Doug Somer

Born is the King of Firhill Park!!!!! :worshippy: :worshippy: :worshippy: :worshippy: :worshippy:
  14. he played from the start against Cowdenbeath & was crap. He used to try & take on opponents, but last week he just wanted to get rid of the ball as quuickly as possible
  15. 27 looks like Kevin MacDonald in his Liverpool days, so maybe he is in as a caretaker manager
  16. see the trouble you've caused now!!! ok you're on for the 13th, but I'll still tell you the football's pish
  17. don't worry mate, it's a friend of mine at the wind-up
  18. I don't think he's out of contract, Dundee will be trying to sell him
  19. The product is rubbish (not just by us) & it will take a hell of an improvement to make me go regularly again. I don't expect world class football, but I do expect some kind entertainment when I go & see the Jags. The feeling by some that 'we played well' & 'there were good performances' by some players shows how low the level of expectation has become. We were poor & Cowdenbeath were worse, how many shots did we actually have on target?
  20. I reckon an appeal is a certainty & thats why SFL went for 25 points. After appeal it will probably end up 15
  21. He used to be on Radio Scotland quite a lot as a pundit, not sure if he still does it
  22. have they been misbehaving?
