It wasn't. he did go away (japan maybe?) but came back the following season. I well remember him reffing us in a game at cappielow. I dont think I have ever heard so much abuse dished out to a ref as I did that day

Im surprised this isn't expected to fetch a higher amount as it's a real one-off 117 A YELLOW QUEEN'S SILVER JUBILEE GOALKEEPERS SHIRT No.1, with v-neck collar and embroidered badge, inscribed The Queen's Silver Jubilee, 1977 The above shirt was worn by Alan Rough in the match against the Football League played on 17th May 1977 at Hampden Park £120-180 For those that don't know or remember it was a Glasgow Select v English League Select. I think the outfield players wore blue & green stripes with red or black shorts & yellow socks (or something very similar) I was at the game but I've no idea of the score or any other details, but I do know a few Jags players played that day.
