  1. Don't know the tune but it needs added to my iTunes ASAP! Brilliant video, can't stop watching it! Anyone know the contact details for onethistle to get the tune?
  2. I'm raging! If he stated he would go at the end of the season then fine. The fact that he has left in the middle of a promotion campaign and us in a cup final is farcical. He could have had a treble with a manager of the year award as well, what does he hope to achieve in 6 months at Tannadice? Other clubs would have approached him at the end of the season. Now the board will go for another cheap, inexperienced option (Collins, Whyte, Britton). McNamara was on course to be a success but his track record will now show one decent half season. I really feel he's not done enough yet at Division 1 level and will end up like McCall did at Tannadice.
  3. Tremendous news, congratulations to them both!
  4. Excellent news! I'll be doing my best to go that little bit further with Thistle this year, more games, more programmes, join the centenary fund etc. hopefully all the frustration and anger can convert into goodwill, and bigger crowds!
  5. Our statement does not say which way we voted!!!!!
  6. Until I have the official list (if it exists) of what way Thistle voted I'm not celebrating anything.
  7. So who are these people? I know Petrie, Regan and Ballantyne, but unsure of others.
  8. At this rate they can sort out all these issues out in about a day, and hail it as a blueprint.
  9. As I said on another post, regardless of the outcome, I think we've already lost potential fans due to the lack of communication from the club. Raith and Clyde will forever be remembered their stance while we've been humming and hawing. We should have been leading the charge in this situation, not bumbling about in the background
  10. I've just joined Twitter, anyone know who's best to follow for updates?
  11. What time does the meeting start at and does anyone know when the results are announced?
  12. I'm for a bigger top division but I do not trust the authorities to stick to their plan. We could have a 14 team top division for one year before Doncaster predicts World War Z unless the league is reduced in size. If you think of the amount of half baked decision making, u-turning, bullying, contradictions and mismanagement that has been made since the SPL began its suicide mission a decade or so ago there is no reason to have any faith in this proposal at all.
  13. And one more thing, if we have a top 16 team league, say Stranraer or Cowdenbeath get in, and kill themselves to build 6000 seats. How long before the SPL reduce the league 'to save the wee clubs from themselves' This plan is pure propaganda and we must see it for the sham it is.
  14. If we take sporting integrity, new rangers being punished, boycotting Thistle, bullying and greed out the question for a minute, and look at reconstruction as a business model only, taking emotion out of the matter, it is still a lot of crap and should be binned immediately. What if we vote yes, and new rangers go bust halfway through the league, and we've spent our projected income before new rangers fulfills the fixtures?
  15. I can see Thistle in an SPL2 next year, consisting of ourselves. We'd still not win it.
  16. I worry that we have already lost fans due to our boards lack of action. Well done East Fife!
  17. It will not be a catalyst for change, it will be to aid one club over everyone else and prove that our game is corrupt. I support Thistle but if the board allow themselves to be bribed by new rangers we may as well merge with them, because we will have lost our soul. I will never return if we vote new rangers in.
  18. I also have no idea why Scotland have made an offeesheell notice to UEFA for a joint Welsh/Irish/Scottish bid for EURO 2020 when all this is going on, it is a farce!!!!!
  19. The earlier suggestion that young people do not care for the moral/principled side of the argument is an insult to them. In my experience working with folk (of all ages) I find teenagers very switched on, able to consider facts, and in the main very opinionated, so I reckon there is a higher risk alienating our younger fans, who have far more options than we ever did (Pro-Basketball, Pro-Rugby, X-cape etc...) than alienating our older fans. If we vote for corruption we may as well change our name to rangers reserves, that would get more bums on seats but it is also ridiculous, we don't sell out, simple.
  20. We should all turn up at Starks Park on the first day of the season and give them our money!
  21. My understanding is that we will only play Everton if FIFA parachute us into the Spanish Premier League, and restructure the whole of World Football over the space on 9 days, to retain integrity and commercial zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  22. [email protected] is the SPL site I've just e-mailed, can't seem to find the SFL one for some reason. Anyone with access to other teams forums should add it to their forums, let's not give up hope, Scottish Football is dying, but it's not dead yet.....
  23. At the end of the day, I don't know enough about the business world to make any point on BLT's or any other offshore deals. As far as punishment goes, I'm not looking for any. Rangers punishment was that they went bust, they don't exist, and the history is down the pan. Any rangers fan trying to claim a connection to the old regime will be getting ridiculed for all eternity. A new rangers doesn't owe anyone anything, neither do we know anything to them just because they have lots of fans. All I expect is the rules not being bent for them, put them in Division 3, and they can claim the right to have a fresh start. If new rangers get into Division 1, I won't grudge them for having the cheek to ask, I will grudge any club who allows them entry though.
