  1. Everything up front grinds to a shuddering halt whenever Bannigan touches the ball. Absolutely sod all coming through the middle
  2. Under McCall and Emasculated Archie, those boys would have bottled it at 2-1. But that Dundee goal really spurred them on. Quick goal and then defended well. Well done boys!
  3. Wouldn't everyone's favourite untouchable "hanger-on-er" Gerry Britton have a pretty big role when it came to contacts? That is the suggestion in most of the articles concerning signings.
  4. Absolutely! Unfortunately many of our fans accept mediocrity.
  5. I think this is a great post. Would slightly disagree with the point regarding interviews. I remember in his first stint prior to leaving after the Falkirk game, his post-match interviews became increasingly more bizarre and deluded (i.e., playing "every so well" against Hamilton). But what can never, ever be in doubt is that McCall is a real Jags man, and had a love for this club unmatched by most (if not all) former managers. If there was anyone I willed to succeed, it was him. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be.
  6. The recent change to the league structure (i.e., the ridiculous notion that a team that finishes 4th should even be considered for the Premier League), I think, has clouded peoples judgement. In seasons past, a 4th (or even 5th) placed finish would have been mediocre at best. I do not think that for a club of our size, aiming to finish 4th is a commendable target. If we think back seven or eight years, would successive fourth placed finishes not have you thinking that a change was needed in terms of management? I think with the current group of players (despite injuries), we should be aiming so much higher. I know that people don't rate Mullen for example. But for our 3rd choice striker to still have racked up seven goals for Dundee last season isn't bad going. It shows that there is a degree of depth in this squad. However, McCall was never going to achieve any more, and our form in the past few months shows that clearly. I feel slightly sorry for Scally - it is hard to know how much/little he contributed. For Archibald, I have no sympathy. For a man to slink back to the club after being manager just says a hell of a lot. There is clearly a reason that no other club touched him after he left Thistle the first time around. Nepotism and cronyism has been an utter rot that has infected this club for too long (another reason that I don't want Doolan as a long-term appointment). I sincerely hope that this can be the start of a proper blank slate, and we can build from the ground up.
  7. This is the proverbial mountain out of a mole-hill. The timing was poor. However, what is even more embarrassing is some Jags fans saying that the supporters and the management should have been allowed to "enjoy their night" prior to making the announcement. "ENJOY THEIR NIGHT!?" WE LOST! AGAIN! I know mediocrity and the "at least we urnae the Old Furm" mentality is rife within our club, but c'mon! The simple fact of the matter is that on the pitch, we are no further forward than at this point last season. There has been no tangible improvement in results or league position. We are off the back of two embarrassing results against Hamilton and Cove, and up until last night we had THREE bloody people on the management team (one of whom completely went down in my estimation when he came back to take up a lower position). This is a roll of the dice. No doubt about it. However, I also have no doubt that if things continued, we would have finished 4th (at best), and went out in the first round of the play-offs.
  8. There is no joy today. We lost at Ibrox. Thistle fans might be proud of the team, but there is absolutely no reason to celebrate. You get nothing for loosing, and that's been all too familiar this season as the stats clearly show. Right call.
  9. Nothing strange about it. Club was going nowhere under McCall, and one massive missed opportunity this afternoon doesn't change that.
  10. Can't stand Ian McCall in the run up to these kinds of matches. Fans pay close to £25 for a ticket, yet the game "does not matter a jot." Just sums up why our record against the OF is an absolute disgrace.
  11. Gerry Britton will be wery wery sad if his pals were to leave. Is that a good enough reason?
  12. Ian McCall is is a 6th place consolidation manager at best. Completely lacks the where-with-all to achieve anything higher than that. Archie and Scally are ridiculous. Three managers for a team of our size! The fact Archibald came crawling back after he'd been given the sack tells me absolutely everything about his character. I don't know how a player could possibly respect him. I honestly regret buying tickets for the Rangers game now. An absolute hiding incoming!
  13. Without doubt, we are Glasgow's fourth team. McCall is a dinosaur and simply can't grind out results away from home. Scally and his emasculated and pathetic assistant, Archie, is equally as culpable.
  14. Great to see Jamie score. But let's be honest, we are GLASGOW'S FOURTH TEAM at the moment! Everyone from the board, to the management, to the players, to the apathetic fans have a share of the responsibility for this. Until McCall, Scally, Emasculated Archie, Britton, Low, and Co are binned, we might very well remain in Queens Park's shadow.
  15. I'm not trying to help. I'm calling it out forthright. Our fans as a collective accept failure at a rate that few other Scottish clubs would. And in my opinion, it's often because they'd rather virtue signal about "no bein the old furm" as opposed to want success. The entire culture of our club seems based on what we aren't, as opposed to what we are (whatever the hell that is).
  16. I'd tend to blame the moronic players and management team who even allowed the Dundee fans to celebrate at all.
  17. Kenny Arthur is another joker who achieved sod all in his career, yet had the audacity to coach Tam Cerny to be a good goalkeeper! Nepotism has poisoned every facet of this pathetic and crumbling club. We consistently reward mediocrity, and our fans excuse it because "at least we ur no the Old Furm ughly sisturs."
  18. Queens Park will replace us as Glasgow's third team. God knows they have a more illustrious history than we could ever imagine. But even now, their well run finances and administration could see us really become the 4th club. And would be no less than we deserve.
  19. McCall, Archie, and Scally will never be sacked. In search of another word, they're all Jacqui Low's wee bitches. A bunch of "yes" men who don't want anything better for themselves or the team.
  20. Probably still cheer them off the pitch at FT knowing our moron fans.
  21. And it's 2-3. Get to f--- McCall, and take your pathetic excuse for a man Archie with you. Useless the lot of them.
  22. Muirhead is a liability, as is McCall and his useless assistant, Emasculated Archie. But we won't do anything about it. Whether it's fan ownership or the gaffer, Thistle fans just sit back and take it.
  23. Not a chance in hell McCall will go regardless of the result. Low and Co will never break up the wee cabal she has going. Unfortunately no inroads have been made by TJF, so we are stuck with the status quo.
  24. Entire club is in the gutter. An embarrassment from top to bottom. McCall is a dinosaur, Scally contributes nothing, and I regard Archie as a man without pride or integrity to come crawling back to an Assistant job. Nepotism at every level. Anyone could see our weaknesses between the post and in defence.
