  1. Hardly fair and square when you have been playing on an artificial surface for quite a few years and nobody else in the league could cope with the difference As for the small fan base In 2008 their chairman said all this.......... "We are carrying no debt, so, if we go up, we'll be in a very strong position," he continued. "With the commercial infrastructure in place, gates are not as important as they are at other clubs. "This stadium works seven days a week, not just one day a fortnight." They are miles ahead of us because they didn't have the same idiots running their club as we did
  2. Local ref- I don't think this pitch is playable ,in fact i'm convinced that when the match ref turns up he'll call the game off Club- right, just declare it playable then, and the Bairns team and fans will travel, then when the match ref comes and calls it off it'll get it right up them for doing it to us.
  3. I was too young to have been at such a match, and I can't remember having actually seen any footage but for some reason your description of the match rings a bell, so perhaps i've heard of it in the past. Unfortunately anything that draws the OF together usually ends in the trading of hate filled exchanges, what they forget is that when something like that happens it immediately becomes about people, not Rangers, not Celtic , just people , the fact it was a football disaster only serves to further connect football people to the implications of such an event, but it's as people that we are effected by it. With a slight twist of fate(he watched that game from his usual spot and was standing on stairway 13 at the final whistle) I could have lost my father that day, i'd have grown up without ever knowing him, truely terrible event in Scotland's history.
  4. I heard it advertised on the radio today I thought the prize for the text message thing last time was alot more than 7 grand?
  5. It really depends on how you read it , the apostrophe in question indicates when something belongs to something else, James's Trust indicates the trust belongs to James ,a trust for people named James would be a James Trust , Just like Moses's Basket , it was his basket , whereas the type of basket is now known as a Moses Basket. Jags's Trust or Jags Trust are both applicable, just depends on the context, it's more likely to be Jags Trust(a trust for Jags), rather than Jags's Trust (a trust belonging to Jags).
  6. He's back! ,bit rusty though.
  7. It's that kind of thinking that will drive PTFC into the new decade and beyond
  8. And scarily he looked their best threat to us I think some of the comments on the match have been typed during a state of elation at going though to the next round, we were far from outstanding We were pretty damn good for most of the first half, and we done ok in the second. Bad officiating all round, even a few going our way that were shockingly bad decisions Thought Falkirk were really really dirty tonight, bad apples Was Twaddle always such a twat? Realy enjoyed the game tonight, even the bombscare stuff in the second half Bring on the Saintees
  9. I wasn't aware the Sunday Mail had that authority
  10. Pretty sure I seen his name pop up recently on the harry wraggs facebook page. I may be wrong or it may be a namesake. Despite his short falings I liked him as a jags player, Buchanan reminds me of him so maybe that's not a good thing
  11. Not just me then? I just thought I had bad luck edit-Woohoo, still in the cup, aw naw, 7 games against falkirk in one season
  12. A wee while back I made up a ditty with the chorus being along the lines of 'Allan Clown to the left of me ,Prentice to the right, Bannerman's, stuck in the middle wi Hughes. It was funny in context at the time, you probably had to be there
  13. oof!! I think you've blown that right out of proportion
  14. I wouldn't risk signing him ,even for just 6 months ,he couldn't even make it to the end of a ONE MONTH loan spell without getting injured. Pay as you play perhaps.
  15. Does anyone remember a play called 'Partick Thistle Football Crazy' ? In one part of the play they do a routine about the Holy Church of the Jaggy Thistle, one of the ten commandments is 'Thou shall win a major trophy every 50 years'
  16. Merry Christmas to all christian jags Happy holidays and much merriment to all Jagnostics
  17. That'll be all those PM's I was sending little-miss-jag
  18. Feel a little sorry for him, and could probably drivel on alot more about the whole situation, from taking a lifetime to sign him , to this announcement, but your post keeps it short and simple, grateful to him but yes it's the right decision. Bugger of a time of year to be told your employment is to end and you need to look for another job so I'll also add a good luck for the future too.
  19. If it's the same ones i'm thinking of the material came from the old silk factory in Balloch, Loch Lomond.Pretty sure they printed it off in silk as well , they made identical old firm ones too, Rangers blue with red and white pin stripes etc , I don't know who took the material and turned them into scarves but I do know that many yards of the old firm design made its way out the back door and was turned into all sorts of cushions and the like.
  20. You're Kavanagh laugh mate
  21. I'll go if Fred Mc shaves off that sex pest beard he's sporting
  22. Stirling Albion are giving their supporters(owners)the chance to choose the new home kit for next season. Puma have taken inspiration from past kits and offered seven different options up to vote on, highest votes gets to be next seasons home kit. Nice touch
