  1. Next weekend Motherwell are at Aberdeen, Dundee United at Celtic and Kilmarnock at Dundee. It's a good chance to go 9th, which is unbelievable after our start.
  2. Why when we get beaten it's never the manager's fault but when we win the manager gets all the praise? Strange that....
  3. Yasss. Fantastic result.
  4. Hendry started for Wigan tonight.
  5. Doolan is a decent finisher but Pogba's (and Taylor's) ability to hold the ball up is significantly better so he is rightly first choice.
  6. LSR's priorities are - Getting one up on fellow posters. Talking shite. Celebrating Thistle wins.
  7. There's no middle ground in football.
  8. Fantastic stuff today. To be fair to AA with the exception of Frans, today is the first time that he's been able to get all his first team on the field and we were very good. Dumbuya and Pogba look like they might be cracking signings.
  9. Offt what a shite midfield. I was hoping Welsh would be dropped but I should know better by now.
  10. Rangers - £31.5 million? I assume they mean- Rangers - -£31.5 million.
  11. Osman or Welsh deserve to be benched on their recent form, but I'd rather see Wilson play than Fraser. My problem with Fraser is that he needs to do the simple things better. He's a quality player but if he wants to play Centre Mid then he'll need to track back more. He also needs to learn that not all passes need to be 40 yarders, and he doesn't need to shoot every time he gets the ball 25 yards from goal.
  12. I gave my reasons which are 100% valid. If you're too much of a slavering simpleton to understand them then that's your problem.
  13. This annoys me as well. We don't have enough passion, determination or fire in our belly. I genuinely feel that playing for PTFC is a Saturday job for the players and that's where it ends. We lose and "we're disappointed" sometimes "bitterly", we get bad refereeing decisions and it's "it could have gone either way", we're on a dreadful run and "we're nearly there". I know the game has changed but I feel the players could do with a Lambie style motivation at times.
  14. A defeat on Saturday and we are gone. Sacking Archibald is only a worthwhile exercise if we can still salvage something from the season. Bringing in another manager to see out the season is a waste of money, especially as the crowds will be under 2000. I would only sack him if we win or draw. Only then can we save the season.
  15. Correct. His record over the past few months is far worse than anything Dickie ever produced. He's now closing in Gerry. But budgets, right.
  16. Let's call a spade a spade here. It's nothing to do with bucking a trend but everything to do with wanting to give AA as much time as possible to see if he can turn it around. If it was Dick Campbell or Gerry Collins no one would be on here saying relegation is OK.
  17. When he first arrived he looked like he would be quality. I had high hopes for the potential partnership of him and Frans. A season later he's getting ripped apart by John Baird...

I wouldn't be surprised if they sacked him. Dundee United don't make excuses for poor results.

That's harsh on the board. Archibald had the core of his squad in place for the first game against Hamilton. Miller, Booth, Amoo and Cerny all played and Pogba joined the next week. Miller and Amoo were poor signings so have had to be replaced at the last minute by Muirhead and Dumbuya. I'd be surprised if Edwards is anything but a panic signing. I would say the board have been supportive of Archibald by allowing him to make the last 3 signings, after wasting money on a number of others.
  20. Shoehorning him pals Welsh and Stevenson, previously, into the team regardless of form has been pretty disgraceful.

We've got? Is the mask slipping there?
