  1. it's a shame, i hope not. been in trouble for years. Don't know how they havent been able to strip the debt down. badly mismanaged club for years. Best of luck, always hard to hear a club goin under, hate to think of the suffering of their loyal, dogged fans. I'd even go down for a game if that would help out, maybe arrange a mass fan flock somehow to their ground. One of these mass flock things these twats seem to do on the internet
  2. any Liverpool player, jimmy boyle for thinking my stepson was a y.t.s boy when he had won tickets to firhill and decided to give him abuse for refusing to carrying his bag up the stair as he waited to meet the players. I gave him a bit of verbal as i was standing in ear shot and he just smirked at me. scum. Ever more so now because he manages them. We should maybe try and start a fight club and invite all these scumbags along
  3. five were thinking of getting a new bassist and rebranding themselves as six
  4. bring your signing on card or wear an airdrie strip. Seriously though, a cut price admission for unemployed people would be great idea. i know people who used to go to fir hill and other grounds and have been priced out because they are unemployed. they go to the juniors because its only a fiver toy get in. Thistle may be losing a few quid by cutting the full price admission, but it's a winning situation if it entices these boys back from the juniors as its a few more quid the juniors are getting and thistle are not
  5. rubbish. art form? nah. Football's all about results. you play football to beat other people. Arts poncy rubbish, footballs not. Golf or rugby are more of an art form than football will ever be
  6. they're in a worse place than us financially. basically crippled by poor financial management and have one of the lowest budgets in the league. can't be expecting miracles from them
  7. winning is what entertains me, not losing. the joy is in winning, beautiful football is winning at whatever the cost, be it cheating or kick and rush
  8. gus mcpherson or yogi for me i think. But like said above, i don't think we could afford them and would probably end up being sid and archie
  9. what annoys me is mcnamara always has a hard luck story and in his opinion we are playing teams off the park and not winning. we're beginning to sound like scotland and god forbid, steven pressley
  10. i dunno the best place, just don't bother going to those godless rob-dogs on the high street such as cash convertors, cash generator or ramsdens. Honestly that modern age robin hood guy in england had the right idea when he burned down 5 cash convertors stores in london. hate these scumbags, making a killing out of the desperation of the poor. (not saying you're poor by the way)
  11. aye, i agree with you, looks like there is a good spirit, everyone seems to be mixing well, hopefully we can kick on in the new year, get some good results.
  12. i remember when my boy 'came out' as a celtic fan. i would rather he told me he was gay.
  13. he ripped his scrotum when he put a tackle into a david hunt. any cockneys about?
  14. Mate they took two parcels that were xmas presents that i bought online and never told me they had them or bothered to try to deliver them. they sent them back to the supplier i bought them from. pure incompetant retards. i save all the unsolicited junk mail they push through my door and put it in a black bag and walk into their office once a year and empty said plastic bag onto the floor and just say to the guy, i dont want your junk mail, you can have it back. they get paid to post this rubbish through your door. it's always nonsense like domino vouchers saying 'if you buy one pizza on a tuesday, we'll give you one free.' but they charge double what any one else charges for a pizza so you're just gettin normal rates. they think you're stupid. death to the posy office
  15. My boy was in Cliftonville, and in a pub and he got a bit of abuse because it was a catholic pub and he had a skin head and a glasgow accent - they thought he was a british soldier! He was just there watching his pal play footy for them and he's a catholic too but he's not a bigot in anyway. Anyway, i was in belfast and had a smashing time. the empire is good and theres that big ferris wheel too. Also the Crown Liquor Saloon in Great Victoria Street is great. Big Victorian Gin Bar that has great character. well worth a visit.
  16. Thatcher was a good powerful leader. The Labour Party done more damage than she ever did, yet don't know why she still gets it in the neck and they never seem to do. And like jaggybunnet said, it's pretty pathetic celebrating the demise of an old and frail women
  17. i concur. Boxing Day footy for me because xmas eve i always get dragged into town by the mrs because she's forgot to get something and stressing, and i imagine this is what it is like for a lot of blokes
  18. They should only have made Liverpool have an all seater stadium because let's face it, it's they scumbags who caused all the problems, be it Heysel or Hillsborough. I hope the Police do grant their wish to get the Police reports about Hillsborough released because i'm 99% sure that they will be found out to be at fault, as they were at Heysel where they murdered those 39 Juve fans and injured another 600. Don't see why they punished everyone else for hooliganism by Liverpool fans. Same as drink in in football grounds. They only should have stopped it at the problem grounds, not punished innocent people.
  19. i think although hearts said they didn't want him, i think they might turn back on that as i expect a mass player exodus over there in january.
  20. hear hear! Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah to any Jews! Hope you all had a good one! Well said Alan, good thread. I retire in a month!
  21. thats a good post, kyle was a great servant. amen brother. i'm glad your boy had a good time, and glad they made it a day to remember. Hopefully a moment like this will make him a jags fan for life. unlike my boy, try as i might to make him a jags fan, he's in udine supportin the <profanity>. honestly, you bring them up the best you can then they do this to you
  22. i love the norseman. greenock is the third world, but that's what makes it fun. the norseman is a good venue for a pre match 'game of pool'. the boys in there were always brand new wae me anytime i was down. it may be a bit of a slum, but its not the building that makes a pub, it's the people in it, and i'd say, anyone i met it there has been a gen up, stand up good guy.
  23. we were playin dundee. think we got beat 1-0 and were all over them supposedly. That was the story with dundee that season, we were all over them and they'd beat us by a cheeky goal. tramps.
  24. david gray? what him that sang that babylon song? who's the aussie anyhow? anyone know?
