  1. i didn't fancy the trip up there in the middle of november. I worked on their secretaries house house 20 yr ago and he got me into the games for nothing. it's a bleak, barren, windy place. was freezing in september, so hate to think what it's like now. I'm going to see my son play for linlithgow rose instead
  2. This 'cheat thing' with dundee and livi annoys and bores me. I hate the way a lot of our paragon of virtue fans get on their high horse about this. They must have really short memories, because if mine serves me correct, we went into administration before them. Not having a go at you personally mate, just think all this nonsensical, hypocritical drivel has to stop. Rant over. I would rather have Offiong, who has been freed by Blyth Spartans but still training with them. He's a better player for our level than dargo ever was and ever will be, again.
  3. i did kung fu in the 70's for 8 years when i lived in hong kong. I had to ask a master and had to live with him for 3 days before he decided if i was right to train. i had to train 4 hours a day, 7 days a week. was exhausting at times but worth it. it taught me a lot more other than fighting, such as about chinese culture. I got a lot out of it though. Used it in Dunfermline against two we scallies who tried to work their ticket at a bus stop 10 yr ago. You should have seen the look on their terror stricken faces. Just though i was an old, baldy guy at a bus stop. When people see you take stance and strike out, they usually freeze with fear.
  4. I have to agree with this. The same fans who were on mccall's back last season, can see no wrong in what Jackie is doing, even though he is worse than mccall. People always bleat about good football, but whats good about a pretty abysmal league record and to be out 2 cups by october?
  5. I watched this fight on Saturday night with my son and two of his friends and because of the dodgy decision at the end of their 2009 fight, we all decided to watch it (as neutrals) and score each round as we saw it. Three of us had Marquez winning by six points, one of us by four. Did anyone else see it? And who was, in their opinion, the winner? Boxing to me is now a joke. It's faker than the wrestling, as the judges score to keep as champion, who they think will make the W.B.O. more money. The same thing happened to Manuel Medina when he battered Naseem Hamed.
  6. aye mate, i saw it lol. was lookin up stuff about sandy there and it showed you a picture from the paper and it said sandy brown and 'jimmy husband.' i sed to love it when the press got our players names wrong. doesnt happen any more though lol
  7. i don't trust the S.N.P. i think they would be happy to turn scotlands into another yugoslavia, with their anglophobic nonsense
  8. my son is friends with a jags fan who died in afghanistan. he was from stirling and think he was in the mechanical engineers. think that was what his regiment was called. sorry cant remember but his name was rab mcgonnigle
  9. with sandy brown in the team! when i was growing up sandy was my favourite player. he was so courageous. threw himself into a few challenges when he knew the only thing he was gettin out of it was bruises. still done it though. he was a very fast player too, so when he went for these challeneges his momentum gave him a harder whack. still went for it though. if you were his manager and you told him to head butt a wall he would then ask if he done it right. Model professional. Bertie auld paid him the ultimate compliment by saying 'if you asked sandy to run into the on coming traffic on the M8 he would. You would expect him to die but sandy would stop the traffic, thats how good he was.' praise from caeser in my eyes. i loved sandy. i was at an everton game when i was a docker down there and sandy was warming up and i shouted 'hoi sandy.' n he saw my thistle top and he came over shook my hand and he said ' you down seeing me? i'm touched.' i said 'naw mate, just workin down here.' sandy burst out laughin and so did the team mate standing beside him. I heard from my son's pal he is in a nursing home in blackpool, not too well, bit senile and has parkinsons. maybe it's is full blooded nature catching up with him. SANDY BROWN IS A SHOE IN AT CENTRE HALF!
  10. I heard the police are treating the death as suspicious. They're grilling George Foreman. Or is that too early? Requiescant en Pace Big guy
  11. Stefan Kuntz who played for germany is a good one
  12. Players who flatter to deceive would be a good topic. It's always good to laugh at these workshy chancers. I can relate to them, being a cowboy builder
  13. From what i heard he was pushed. Everyone deserves a second chance. Maybe he's sorted his life out
  14. Culter is a trek and a half. Past instances have shown the cheating team gets kicked out. Looks like we're going to culter. If there's anyone from the Fife area needs a lift, gies a shout. i'll probably drive. I'll have 3 spaces
  15. you could always burn down the flat and claim the insurance? Saves you forking out for an expensive shower curtain
  16. tend to agree with this post. big things were expected of him when he left falkirk for dundee utd and nothing came out of it. he's too lazy and doesnt care enough. the type of player who infuriates me. you need to be a battler in our division and he has no battling qualities whatsoever
