  1. Probably need a stato on this....but, IF Ross County were to win their next 4 games ,including the one at Firhill, and IF Falkirk lost their next 3 (including a game versus County and us beating them) and IF Dundee only took 2 points from 9, then County would win the league (on goal difference, not points) at Firhill. 'Spose it could get us a decent crowd.
  2. What about Erskine's miss? 2-0 and the game was over. Even the Raith no.9, thinks he was going to score.
  3. In fact ,since 20/8 August, Raith have won 4 league games, 3 of which were against us.
  4. It was actually not a bad game. Dools had three great chances in the first half and we should have been out of sight. Morton were as bad as the 5-0 game. In the second half Morton got into it more and you were waiting for the sucker punch. Second half,Erskine was in a great position to shoot ,but passed it to an offside Elliot. Bizarre decision, but refelcted the lack of confidence. A number of players passed up shooting opportunities for the same reason. I sit in the Kid's Zone and thought the penalty was a stonewaller, others disagree. O'Donnell let his man go and fell all over him. The penalty was a howler, over the bar and heading towards the canal. Disappointed ,but we just can't score. I was critical of McNamara last week ,but he is powerless if strikers can't score. He's got no one to bring in. Think we've scored 5 home league goals since October!
  5. I thought that the most upsetting bit. I'm sure we've all dabbled on some football fields and that goal had all the halmarks of a team that didn't give a toss. That's not something i'd noticed before.
  6. From Jackie “I spoke to the players at half-time and told them that it was time for them to stand up and be counted. A few of them simply went through the motions during the second half and that has left me very angry" Does that not mean most of the team ignored the manager? Doesn't fill you with confidence, especially when he's very little to bring in.
  7. The OP answered his own question. If you miss a game it isn't worth it ,but if you make them all then you do save money. So, if you think you are going to miss some, then it is purely a judgement call ,no one can force you to buy it. I haven't made them all,but usually lend it to another fan. Yip,could argue it does the club out of a ticket, but people are struggling. I gave away my Warriors Voucher ,to a rugby loving fan. So that plus two free games isn't a bad return.. The club can't cover cup games, as it costs money. I do miss getting friendlies for free, but can't see how the club can take a hit on season tickets.I take my son to the games and as it doesn't cost him anything ,so I see that as an obvious saving. I used to save up via the Glasgow Credit Union and pay it that way.
  8. Chic back at his old school (well the same site) ,must have provoked a few memories. Remember watching Tony Higgins there, in his schooldays, when it was red blaes. Played there myself with McAvennie and Frank McDougall...mitre ball and red blaes days of course.
  9. Played 5 aside with the Motherwell goalie at New Year. He was just a young student, exam in the morning and a hammering in the afternoon!
  10. Surely this would cause confusion. Players wouldn't know if their team mates were coming towards them or moving away. Unless they introduced the green and red light system, used on airplanes.
  11. Couldn't believe the ref. Paton gets an elbow in the neck and the ref is right in line. Thought Dundee looked good and then we "tamed" them. Thought Dools header was creeping the right side of the post. Wind makes games into a farce.
  12. No need to be humble! I didn't see any headbutt either. He nudged him away ,I'm wondering whether the side of his head hit Imrie. I know all players act up a bit ,but I think Archie might have briefly thought he was the "victim". Worth an appeal.
  13. Jackie has just announced on Real Radio that both loanees will start.
  14. The year we put Arbroath out with 8 men, we came 8th in a ten league SECOND division and avoided relegation by a point. The glory days.
  15. Fine. Everyone is annoyed. If you don't want to come back, then there is no compulsion. No one wants to lose fans ,but you don't love and support a team, only if they are good. I've watched them for over 40 years and had some good moments, but lots of bad. It would be nice if they were better ,but you don't sign up with a guarantee. I hope you keep going to matches ,but it is important to remember no one forces us to support them ,so keep going during the bad times or find something else to do. Why be miserable?
  16. My sanity is restored. My stato fellow Jags fan remembered it and that it wasn't a Saturday. He thought it was Easter Monday. According to the Official History we played Celtic on a SUNDAY 5th April, 1981 and lost 1-0. So pretty sure that was the game I thought about.
  17. I agree. I've got digital ,but with an option to switch to FM ,but I'm sure Radio Hee Drum Hawdirim does Open All Mics.
  18. Andy Wilkinson and Graham Dorrans. We taught them so well he ended up in the Premiership.
  19. Hope no one has set off!
  20. You obviously have a good source. So what about Naismith?
  21. Think I'm confusing myself. The one I meant was something to do with Radio Clyde and fund raising. The people were running round taking the aplause and one girl "stood out". The crowd started singing "get them off" and she did. I was in the Main Stand, with my Dad,who was a Celtic fan. He worked every Saturday ,so it wasn't a Saturday and I don't remember floodlights. Please note that I could have dreamt the entire episode!
  22. I genuinely thought you had footage of the female streaker, when we played Celtic at Firhill in the 70s (or was it 80s?) .Vague memory that it was a weekday afternoon? Anyone remember?
