  1. After all the upheaval with our management departure and lack of games recently, other teams and fans must surely be thinking that our championship chances are fading fast. No chance, with the next 2 wks throwing up some cracking games.... Partick....16th Morton (a). 19th Hamilton (h) 23 rd airdrie (h). If/ when we win all 3 ...49 points Morton....16th us, 23 rd Dunfermline (a). If/ when they lose both.....48 points Dunfermline ....12 th Cowdenbeath (a), Falkirk (a), Morton (h). If they win all 3 ...48 points. I know this is all if and buts, but not impossible. So possibly 1 point clear with 2 games in hand by the 23 rd of this month. So to everyone connected to The Jags, players, coaches, directors and especially us the fans, we all believe we can do it, so The Time Is Now
  2. Don't think the game will be on, seemingly a big freeze happening Friday night Saturday morning, and after all this rain it's the last thing that pitch needs.
  3. Just ask any under 21 player that has played for our national set up. Stark is an arrogant ass...believe me, he would upset our dressing room. The only reason our international set up are trying to introduce a European style of football is the Dutch influence now at the SFA. Stark is from the old school, lump the baw up to a couple of 6 ft strikers and totally miss out our midfield. This would have half our team wanting away. (My opinion)
  4. Please god don't let Stark near the job. I know of at least 1 player that would walk out of their contract if he got the job. Doesn't know how to communicate with younger players and wants all his players to be over 6 feet and built like a brick shit house. Anybody bar him.
  5. Nice bit in the Glaswegian fae the wee man... http://www.theglaswegian.co.uk/football/partick-thistle-fc/partick-thistle-news/2013/01/23/partick-thistle-ace-steven-lawless-i-ll-be-back-for-title-run-in-102692-2395453
  6. He needs to find 1 first,lol
  7. The wee man will be out 4-6wks max. And if he gets the operation this week, he should be back in training on Monday. No physical contact for 3 wks after operation.
  8. The wee man is going to be out with a broken cheekbone for at least 6wks.
  9. Lawless's passing in the 1st half was superb, the crossing was shocking today, lucky if 10 percent got by the 1st defender and when it did it was sailing long by the back post. There goalkeeper kept them in the game in the 1st 20mins. Over 90mins we had enough chances to win a couple of games. It was also embarrassing listening to some fans at the game abuse our own players. Do we as thistle fans have a divine right to win every game. We have a young side and they do not need abuse from there own fans. How many of us can honestly say before a ball was kicked at the beginning of the season they that expected us to be in a cup final and right in the mix for the league?
  10. English teams have plenty of cash to offer 6 figure bids for our young talent.
  11. Just because the gaffer says no more ins or outs doesn't stop teams putting a bid in for any of our players and if the money was right then we could see some transfer action.
  12. I think we will see a couple of bids coming in for a couple of our players in the transfer window. Hopefully nobody leaves, but money talks
  13. So your saying you would take Russell now? How should they not be in the bottom 6 , it's based on this years form, that's like saying thistle shouldn't be in the top 2 based on the last few seasons. You talk shit at times
  14. happy new year, but don't talk pish, if it was never in doubt it would have been completed sooner, County tried to play funny buggers with him, end off.
  15. . No need to apologise mt, I would not drop any of the players mentioned in my previous post, what lawless and Erskine haven't been able to do recently is link up the play either down the wings or in the centre of the park, like they did so affectively earlier on. This could be because of 1 or 2 injuries to welsh in the middle and O'Donnell at right back. With the injury to welsh and the recent sending off this has pushed Bannigan into midfield, but personally I think he is better at wing back. Personally I think fox is the better keeper myself but smith has only joined the club and isn't to blame for all our points dropped.
  16. so if you score you have had a good game? I take it you think Erskine had a good game yesterday because he scored. All of the players named have not been in the form they were in at the beginning of the season. Smith has not been responsible for all our points dropped since he has joined us, that is a fact. I don't believe in chastising any thistle player and certainly not 1 who has just arrived into a unfamiliar squad. Hopefully that answers the question on why so defensive of smith.
  17. lol, do u believe everything you read in the papers. I think I will take the word from 2 current players who speak to Craig every day over the daily jokes, lol
  18. not according to a couple of players that were asked about the situation today after today's game
  19. Dont see how anyone can solely blame smith, cos over the last 5 games we have had Erskine, Lawless, Bannigan, Forbes,Sinclair all under perform in most of these games. We have also had red cards in some of these games added in with the injuries and also SOD has been injured meaning we have a centre half at right back and in my opinion he is the best ch at the club, meaning we do not have anywhere near our best defence set-up on the park at the moment. it's easy to pick on 1 player when things start to go a wee bit downhill, but we have quiet a few things going against us right now. Muirhead's a really good player but without sod we are really unbalanced, this certainly doesn't help the wide midfield players, lack of supply and overlapping runs. Back the team don't slate them.
  20. Doolans ain't going to Hearts !!!!!!!! defo and Ross County playing mind games with Craig , first he can join us then he can't.
  21. The highest paid players at Murderwell are on £1500 basic. Only a handful are on this bracket the rest range from £300 to £1000.
  22. It is a concern at the moment about our out of contract players, but what would you think about this senario, as told to me yesterday.....To keep most of our out of contract players and offer them new contracts (with or without SPL football) 1 or even 2 of our contracted players are sold in the transfer window. Seemily 2 of our signed up players are attracting the most attention from scouting teams. ps. no names supplied
  23. Some good points in your post. Just hope we are in the same situation after January with none of our players leaving.
