Am I right in saying Muirhead's suspension only relates to cup games? If so will he miss cup final in April? Glad to see Paton back next week!! Looking at the highlights I thought Sinclair was at fault for letting, what looked like his ball, run across him for their winger to get to it and ultimately leading to the goal!! Both red cards were correct IMO, by the letter of the law. For Jefferies to say on TV last night that the way Thistle players re-acted led the referee to have no choice but to isssue a second yellow was disingenious to say the least .Muirheads was silly. Dargo is an old pro and knew what he was doing. Smith looked to have had a great game. Forbes penalty - It looked at a nice height for the keeper and not far enough towards the post. Anyway, upwards and onwards!! Tough test at Cowdenbeath. I think its time Jackie kept Murray as back up and NOT a regular.

Yep!! Jackie and Simon Donnelly played for the reserves last night, and Archibald played at left back. Each one of them set up the 3 goals that McGuigan scored. More depth to the squad!!

The downside to our success to date is that bigger clubs will hover around a have a wee peek at what weve got. Heard a few rumours, like Muirhead to Celtic, Doolan,Erskine to SPL clubs etc..., but as we try to run a tight ship (rightly so) then we cant offer fabo salaries. One thing in our favour at the moment is that most clubs are tightening their belt and can no longer splurge the cash!! If we cant keep them then might be best to try and get something for them in January. I am sure Jackie has players in mind to replace if we have to. So far this season, his signings have been excellent, so have faith.

The fantastic thing about Thistle this season is the depth of the squad. Yesterdays 11 plus a decent bench AND Rowson, Archibald and Murray all to come back, AND McGuigan and Creagan out on loan. Jackie saying he wants to keep Craig after January.Depends on finance. Different days when Sinclair and Doolan are constantly on the bench.

I hope thats not true, but if it is I can understand NOT taking risky chances with them, but with Sinclair moving to the back and Bannigan moving to the middle we have toiled a bit. We have had to DIG out the past two results (although thats a fantastic trait to have), so we could try out Forbes for a good length at the start of the game and introduce Welsh later. Up front its good we have two decent strikers to come on.But I would put Bannigan back at left back and leave Sinclair on the bench
