The problem is that, as far as I am aware, there has been no admission of a wrong decision by the referee. The authorities haven't and never will publicly criticise a referee. Nothing to see here, move along.

Yes, I was surprised. I had gone to great lengths to explain the significance of the minute silence to my 7 & 4 year olds before the match. Instilled in them the importance of remaining quiet for a whole sixty seconds. When it didn't happen they gave me the 'crazy daddy' look. I'm fairly used to that though. Incidentally, today was the first time they wanted to leave before the end. Not a good sign.

I don't agree that losing 3 - 0 at home to one of our close rivals is 'doing ok'. Forbes failed to grasp his opportunity to impress when he came on. Our only set-piece specialist failed to get one of his corners into play. I agree, however, that Higginbotham shouldn't be taking corners, they are shocking.

Our corners are woeful. Our defending at corners is, er, woeful.
