  1. What a result! Chuffed to bits for Dools and Lawless getting off the mark. OTIG!!
  2. I sent the forms in by post in early June - haven't heard a peep since! Is this normal?
  3. Cheers folks - appreciate the info.
  4. Thanks. Appreciate the help :-)
  5. On holiday and met a couple of blokes from Ipswich. One of their relations is an ex-Jags player name of Billy McLeod. Era he played in was late 70's. Anyone remember him?
  6. How do you download the team that you made? My son's got an Xbox 360 and is dying to be the Jags... :-)
  7. Valuable point tonight, but feel we were lucky to escape with it. Raith were well organised and looked dangerous. They could have been a couple up by half time, but some good defending and unlucky finishing kept us in it. Despite a lot of effort, the Jags were off their game tonight. Too many misplaced passes and second to too many balls. A lot of punts up the park with Raith winning most of the headers in midfield. When we occasionally got the ball on the deck we lacked options and didn't create many chances. That said, the effort shown was excellent and, despite having a below-par night the players deserved a point for effort alone!
  8. I cannae wait for the next few weeks. The run-in and the cup final is going to be the most exciting period for the Jags for years. Personally I think that we are a better team than Morton, but it's very close! The main difference for me is that we seem to be a club that's progressing both on and off the park. The fans, One Thistle, the new management team, our board and the general day to day running of the club have ALL improved. We've conducted ourselves brilliantly both on and off the park and are a credit to Scottish football. Combine all that with playing the best football in the league and that's why we should win this league!
  9. I'm in Burntisland, just a few miles from Cowdenbeath. Snow been threatening this afternoon, but not materialised yet. I'll keep yous posted with any snowy developments.
  10. I thought Cowdenbeath were well organised - pushed right up the park, played the offside trap (seemed as though every time we went forward was offiside), lots of overlaps on the wings. They also had some good performances in their team. We were good from 15 minutes to half time (although still skakey at the back) and then didn't show up for the second half. I thought Lawless, Banzo and S'OD had decent games - Muirhead, Murray and Sinclair didn't have the best of nights! Jags fans gave top backing to the team despite the weather! If we get out the traps quick on Saturday and get the first goal then I think the Pars heads'll go down! Central Park is a SH!T3HOLE!
  11. With Archie being interim manager, who do you think should be interim Club Captain? Paton gets my vote.
  12. Today's postponement was a major disappointment for the fans, players and everyone associate with the Jags. We were all champing at the bit to show support to Archie, Shaggy and the team. We've got to wait another week now but, how buzzing will we all be by next week???
  13. Total joke. Am about 5 miles from Central Park and it was a wee but frosty this morning, but sun has been shining all morning and temperature is well above freezing. That pitch will be fine by 3. Raging!!!!
  14. Shagalicious news! Ohhhh Archie & Shaggy.........
  15. Some of the player chat in the last few minutes on twitter: conrad balatoni ‏@conradbalatoni As boys have said gonna be a big loss is the gaffer.. Helped me alot! But we will continue and do all we can to win this league! #believe Paul Paton ‏@PaulPaton4 Absolutely gutted the gaffers left. Been great for me and for the club, unbelievable working under him but it's gone now and we move on Sean Welsh ‏@welshdogg4 Gutted to see the gaffer go!! Wish him all the best with Dundee utd am sure he will do a great job! Great guy and gaffer!!
  16. Oooft! Was inevitable that Jackie would go, but never expected it to happen 'during' this season. Feels like a kick in the balls! Hopefully we'll be spanking Utd in the SPHell next season... Ohhhhhh Jackie MacNamara, used to be a Jag but he's a ******** (insert as appropriate) now
  17. It was a good game to watch yesterday. The last 20 minutes of the 1st half we were great! Sinclair gave them a horrible time down the left wing. However, they changed it in the second half and tactically it worked. Stopped Sinclair's runs and the second half was pretty even. We had a few good chances to finish them off, but they also had a few good chances too. Could have been 3 - 1 to the Jags or 2-2 in the last few minutes. Unfortunately it was the latter..
