If there's no red card punishment then everyone would do it when a striker is through on goal, Or a shot is going in. The red card is there to give the defender a choice, is it worth the sending off in the hope they miss the pen?

Really wanted frans first game to partnering seabourne in defence and not balatoni. Doesnt matter how good a player you are, your first game for a new club, especially at CB, is going to be difficult and have seabourne there would be a huge help with his organisation skills. Balatoni needs to concentrate so hard on his own game, I think it may be hard to form a partnership with someone new. Like someone else has said, these comments dont really help his case if he were to get off to a bad start, which hopefully wont be the case.

I would be very surprised if rangers wern't "keeping tabs" on gary, given that hes one of the best young players in the country. Being able to do anything about it is a totally different matter however.

Totally agree, and in these cases the home club is always going to look after its own fans, something our club crearly forgot in the summer. The difference with us though is that someone has to sit in the main stand. Theres going to about 40,000 empty seats for this game so why cram is into a corner with restricted view? Its madness.

Absolutely. Probably the 3 fewest travelling support all season in our first three home games. I'd suspect our home support figures are quite consistent all season, the only massive fluctuation being the travelling support. Anyway, I think we were due a comfortable win vs ICT at home judging on last year Boxing Day!

He trained everyday with the squad. He obviously never showed anything in training to suggest he would be any better than the terrible performances he put in when he did play. I remember in "championship manager 2002" or something, his ratings when he played for Falkirk were incredible. Where do they come up with this stuff?

Absolutely.....people dismissing his goal scoring record are forgetting he's played at a much higher level than us for most of his career. I definitely think our signings this window have been far better than at this time last year. There have been no "wasted signings" and I think this shows how much Archie is learning. Hopefully the players he has signed, as you say, will live up to their promise and prove to be as good as they appear.

They have just signed a defender and immediately let another one go out on loan....seems very much a case of 1 in 1 out.

All these players moved onto "bigger clubs" on either way more money or better terms I.e longer deals. We're unlikely to be able to offer any players with 9 months left on their contract the kind of money that's going to make them sign a pre-contract with us when they don't even know what league we'll be playing in. Obviously they're going to wait till this window to see what else they can get.
