While I'd be surprised if PT receives a detailed response to each of his questions, I do think its important to show people that we aren't that happy or satisfied with an answer that pretty much boils down to 'we were too busy'. Communication from the club has been abysmal this season. It has destroyed a lot of the good work that was done last year. Why when they have just asked for volunteers to help with IT issues, did they not feel they could seek other help early in the year? Nothing from the club ever stacks up and just leaves more questions. I feel that much of the frustration stems from the fact that there is a ton of goodwill, skill and enthusiasm that could be tapped into, but the club have basically ignored us as fans this year. Even onethistle seems to have gone a bit quiet - last season there were a lot of videos etc released, but this year when we arguably need it most, they don't seem to have been as prolific. Is this a response to being undervalued and ignored? When is the meet the board night that Beattie mentioned at the end of last season anyway?
  2. Agree - but leaving PH yesterday I don't think I'd have been happier if we won. Everything was great yesterday on and off the field. I just wanted the team to do us proud and they did - I had a few family members in the home stand who hadn't seen Thistle before and they reckoned we were the best team to visit this season.
  3. Depends - were they undercover dressed as seats? I'd estimate 20k - where are they all at home games? Glory hunters!
  4. Just asking - but do you know what the disincentive is (if any) for us taking the 3000 and returning any unsold? We sold the Ramsdens tickets in batches, adding extra sections as they became available - why wouldn't such a thing have been possible at PH? Not a loaded question, just cant understand why we've got so few (and why clubs with large travelling supports like Aberdeen only apparently take up 1000). Madness that the stadium will be half empty and there are still fans wanting tickets.
  5. Celtic tickets was a shambles in as much as we only really found out via word of mouth. No idea about the issues surrounding the size of the allocation, or where the 'blame' is for this and I do think ST holders should have had priority. However, I feel office opening times were well advertised online and certainly in line with a lot of other workplaces I deal with. Advertised as closing at 12noon - I made sure I got up there before then (around 1130). I'm unsure who it was that said they couldn't get in at 11am, but I definitely got mine after that. 1/2 STs and 5 game packages available to purchase online or in person during advertised opening. Admittedly, the 'in-person' opening wasn't great for anybody working 'normal' 9-5 or wanting to present something tangible as a Xmas gift, but as i've said it is in line with a lot of workplaces and with previous seasons. I agree the CF draws are an improvement. I cancelled my subscription as it was getting beyond a farce, but might be forced to rejoin if they keep this up!
  6. World Darts Arena - is that just a fancy pub?
  7. Unleash the paranoia ... (Yes - I genuinely needed to edit a three word post!)
  8. To be fair, you've ridiculed your own version of the complaints. Who described there being boxes on the floor of the shop as being a trauma? Did you just think that sounded better? For my part, I described it as messy and an embarrassment. From driving into the estate, finding and entering the compound and then going into the shop, everything is a mess, and I am embarrassed that this is how our club is represented. This is only my opinion and I respect that you are happy (or at least accepting) with this. Others may be happy also, but why you feel that you have to ridicule legitimate observations is beyond me. I found the compound without any issues, but I don't have a sat-nav and genuinely have no way of using my mobile legally while driving. I don't think i'll be alone on this. I think most people are aware of how to locate somewhere not familiar to them. Can I suggest that your attempt to ridicule people on this perhaps failed a little when you asked somebody for a link to the St.Mirren online shop? I know you've got access to a computer and the internet. Have you tried google? It's like an internet sat-nav. I also never described the issue with the strips as being a fault, and i'm not sure anybody else has. I see this as a by-product of an inferior manufacturing process. I think the scale of the recurrence of the issue probably backs this up. It's been highlighted as being present from day one. Having looked through the tops available in his size, I choose the one I felt was best, but they all had the issue. I honestly didn't even consider that there would be one without it. Ridicule that if you want. This is a genuine question - when you were asking them to go through every top in your size so that they would find one without what you are calling a fault, do you know if the tops you rejected stayed on the shelves? How many did they have to go through before they found one for you? Has the issue every been discussed when you have been providing feedback to them? What was their response? I hope you don't feel i've been personal in anything above - you are just the only one voraciously defending TTL and you seem to have had different experiences to the rest of us. It does seem sometimes that any issues are the clubs fault and not TTL, whereby previously Greeves were to blame for any perceved issues. With regards to the part in bold - to me this reads like the scope of the arrangement with TTL is much reduced compared to what we had with Greeves - is this fair or did you mean something else?
  9. While I think it is wrong to romanticise the past (remember we were months without a home top last season) I don't think many people are doing that. People on here are just not agreeing that the current situation with TTL is better than our situation with Greeves. You seem to constantly change your arguments in a bid to defend TTL, eventually just settling on a default of saying any 'issues' are with the complainer and not TTL. When the OP mentioned boxes lying around and general messiness, your reply was that it was unfortunate that he had clearly visited just after a delivery. You could have no way of knowing this was the case, but you were happy to use it as a defence, but in defending it by inventing a reason you tacitly accept that it isn't a great situation. Except you won't actually bring yourself to say that. When several of us seem to have had a similar experience, you change your argument and ask how we cope in a supermarket when they are restocking! To compare the unit with a shop which has a massive stock turnover is just daft - I was in Waterstones today and there were no boxes lying around. If you ran a retail shop you wouldn't have boxes lying around. Anyway, supermarkets, Waterstones - it's immaterial as neither of these are actually REPRESENTING OUR CLUB. Sorry - can't find italics! When some suggest that the stock itself isn't to our taste and list grievances, you just say it's better than what we had. I've got a problem with the cheapness of the felt badge. You asking how I survived the 90s - how is that relevant to our club in 2013? It was the 90s! Since then I've very rarely seen anything as cheap as the heat-pressed felt badge. Do you really think that because something that was acceptable in the 90s has reappeared in 2013 I should forget about what has developed and improved in between? The stitching issue has been an issue since day one. It's present on pretty much every top and was one of the reasons I didn't by one for myself. The wee man wants to wear the new top in the clubs colours - tops with the stiitching issue are what are available. It's clear to all. I think that this is just a by-product of an inferior product/production method rather than a fault as such. After all, if it was a fault, why would TTL hang and display them rather than just send them back to the manufacturer? Why you feel you have to defend TTL to the point of inventing situations and making false comparisons is beyond me.
  10. I honestly think the focus has to be on our home form - if we can sort that and start picking up 3pts on a more regular basis, we'll be fine. Anything we get anywhere away is a bonus. There isn't a fan in the land that doesn't go to home games expecting to pick up something, and Killie fans will all be feeling that they got what they expected tonight. January is a massive month for all the reasons highlighted in previous posts.
  11. On my visit there (well second actually - the first time I went during 'opening hours' and it was closed) I was dealt with courteously and helpfully. I got what I wanted and apart from their card reader being on the blink (they got it working eventually, but it was a nervous few minutes as the place isn't exactly handy for a cash machine) nothing untoward happened. When I visited there were boxes and stock everywhere. I got the impression that the place wasn't really used to being visited and was really meant as a stockroom/warehouse for mail order. It is in nowheresville. Although people will argue this I think the fact that it's location is described as how far it is away from things kind of highlights that it isn't somewhere you can pop into on a whim as 1JL said he used to with Greaves. It is my opinion, but I do think it is an embarrassment of a shop. I would feel ashamed taking anybody that wasn't a Thistle fan along. I just wouldn't take my (Thistle supporting) kid as kids aren't stupid and they can tell if things are sh!t. I just don't want him fall out of love with Thistle and this is without doubt a negative. It doesn't matter how much red and yellow they use to disguise this. I've not bought this years top for me, but got one for my son. Seems fine, but as many highlighted at the time, the fabric does seem to have been excessively stretched to stitch the Joma logo on. Some of the training stuff looks okay - I actually quite like one of the red tops, but the ironed on badge makes it look cheap IMO. It saddens me that I could think a club badge could cheapen something but that's how I feel. I have no idea the financial arrangements for this deal, but if the club benefits to a greater sum than it did with Greaves then I guess it's something. It just doesn't seem that professional. I didn't know about what ian_mac has revealed about the awarding of the contract - that has surprised me a little I've got to say.
  12. Balatoni in for Muirhead a bizarre one in my opinion. Thought Lawless looked keen in St.J half and helped bring Craigen more into things. Higgy won't have a poorer 'game' than St.J so hopefully back on form today.
  13. I've been after a hairy crocodile for a while now (don't ask) - where can I find/purchase such a beast? Was beginning to think it was mythology/biblical...
  14. Agree with this, even though I'm against the NS move - if the board had originally put the singing section in the main stand, the players would be saying how great it is to have fans on each side of the pitch. The point is that Firhill was a morgue beforehand - creating a singing section and grouping then together was what really made a difference to the atmosphere, not what stand they were put in. I know what promises were made, but at the end of the day we are all supporting the team from different stands every second week - lets just everyone get right behind the team on Sunday and that's what will make the difference. I believe the club is moving forward - hopefully the game passes without incident and decisions like this are avoided in the future.
  15. Pretty much how I see it from TV. Really, it's the AR that's fcuked up - don't think there's anything wrong with what ICT did, but the AR clearly shakes his head and tells Craigan to retreat. Why he then doesn't raise his flag until the ball is in the net is beyond me. Being miked up is no excuse - sure they don't agree every offside or throw in with Ref before flagging. Whatever, I'm sure it'll feature in The Guardian's 'you're the ref' (or whatever it's called) before too long.
  16. I'm actually in it! I won a ball! All is forgiven!
  17. Who uses pound notes these days? I've got it down to three notes for a scarf, but they are a £20, £10, and £5.
  18. Heard him commentating on Sevco today - think he's after Traynors job when he gets the boot.
  19. Where is the decimal point in that price?
  20. Save money on the call at least - 0141 579 1971 - it's the same line. You even get the message that its costing you 10p/min but it isn't! If you ever forget it, just google 'PTFC 0141' and you'll find it no probs.
