What a horrible night. Windy, cold and getting thumped by county. I lost count of how many goal kicks scott fox had to take in the first half, the ball just kept coming back at us due to the wind and our inability to pass and control the ball. There was no shape to the team especially in the midfield. Look at ross county, they have a very settled team, jackie is always changing formations. Thought scott robertson and o'donnell played ok. It was a difficult game for kinneburgh to play his first match in 5 months, but he did ok. Gardyne was excellent for them. The ref (ian brines) gave free kicks to them all night, any contact and blew for a foul. With ayr winning and raith rovers with good form, its getting tight down at the bottom. We need to get something from the next two games.

Disgraceful performance. Lack of effort from a lot of those players. Gavin Griffin should have started that game. I have seen him in the reserves a few times and he looks a good player and is a natural left back. Him and paton were the only ones who looked as if they cared. Paton might not be a great player but he always tries hard and appreciates the supporters. There is no shape to the team, half of them are playing out of position. Kal Naismith should go back to rangers, he thinks he is better than he actually is. I heard he was mostly a sub for cowdenbeath in his loan spell. Christie Elliot should get off twitter and actually put some effort in and fight for the ball. Stephen Odonnell is a nightmare, he dosnt look interested. I can accept losing a match but not in those circumstances when there is no heart from nearly all the thistle team.

No balance to the team. Even though scott robertson did ok today, he is a central midielder. Flannigan and tommy stewart are far too physically weak. I cant believe jackie started flannigan, especially since he hasn't played for 3 months. Stuart bannigan is a natural central midfielder, i cant believe he was left out, since he started two weeks ago and played well. Elliot is useless out on the wing. He is the only striker with any height, jackie should be putting him up front with doolan. As much as i think dargo is an ok player, he isnt really what we need at the moment. To be fair to steven odonnell, i think he did well today and was our best player. We are getting found out at home. Lots of teams realise that to beat us, you put 10 men behind the ball. It showed today when queens put alan reid at right wing, who is normally a left or right back. You cant blame teams for doing that, thistle have got to do better and have a bit of immagination. We didnt deserve to win and to be honest after the draw away to culter, we didnt deserve to be in the cup, cause that result felt like a defeat.

The game might not go ahead on saturday. My mate was supposed to be going to the hospitality but it has been cancelled. The club said that the pitch is currently waterlogged. The groundstaff were digging a drain on the pitch this afternoon. However lets hope it goes ahead.

Saw that aswell. Lets hope we can keep him quiet tomorrow night. Scott fox and rowson are doubts for the game.

Its so easy for other teams to play against us. Put 11 men behind the ball, we cant get through and hit us on the break. Ross County do it all the time to us. Suprised more teams dont do it.

That was one of the longest and nerve-racking thistle games ive been to. We seemed to stop playing after scoring. Dundee should have had 3 players sent off. That tackle from weston was terrible, more like a rugby challenge. Scully had a brilliant game. Not sure the reason for scott fox being out, but i think he needs to take a few weeks out to regain his confidence. We pressed the self destruct button in the second half. Kyle Hutton gave the ball away far too much. But i think that we deserved a decision in our favour, especially after the dundee player dived for the penalty in the first match at firhill. I was at the queens park vs montrose game about a year and a half ago when every other game was posponed due to the snow. I saw sinclair playing that day. He looked very good going forward, but needs to improve at the back.

I was in total shock when i heard. Last week mccall was saying we still have the makings of a good team. I just get so angry when the club dont tell the fans the truth. Mccall just signed up paton and a few others. Leaving on a friday, the day before a match and with 5 games to go is very strange. It looks like his decision was one that was made in the last day or two. I felt mccall always gave us stability and i am worried about next season. Im sure the fans will support jackie, sid and all the players but there will be critisism of the board.

McCall should kick the players backsides after that performance. Lack of effort from every player. The players are always talking about moving up the league and going for third. Im more worried about staying up. The players are not good enough to take their foot off the pedal. They must play with the same commitment every game. Grehan was awful. Erskine is the strangest player i have ever seen. How can he go from being so good against raith to having an absolute shocker today. Mccall played the wrong formation, we were too defensive. Mcgowan never had control of the ball the whole game, he had his eye on his internation match during the week i think. We must win against stirling.

Just watched it. Brilliant performance. That was one of the most enjoyable thistle games ive been at for a while.

Im in a great mood after the game today. Every player was excellent. Erskine looked back to his normal self. Finally mccall put mcgowan in his proper position, in centre midfield. There have not been many times in the past couple of seasons where we outfought the opponents midfield, but that is what we did today. They only had one chance, which fox made a great save from. The back three kept baird and tade really quiet. Bring on falkirk!

Both as bad as each other. The players and managment of both teams should be ashamed.

Quite satisfied after that result. It moves us further from the bottom and keeps us in touch with morton and queens who are only 3 points away. Just worried by lack of goals. Hopefully we can put that right next saturday against dundee, providing that it goes ahead.

A couple of us were talking to McCall as he left firhill. He said that the game should have gone ahead. The ref was out for 40 minutes for the 11am inspection. Richmond took a free kick apparently and didnt like the surface.

Bad night. Nothing to get excited about. I dont think st johnstone are really that good, we just went out with a whimper. Not many chances for either teaam apart from the goals. Was surpised at how many thistle fans were there tonight. We need to sign another striker, there is a lack of firepower up front. We might be able to get away with it in the league but when you face better teams you need a bit more up front. Hopefully the players will be feeling better and fingers crossed scott fox will be ok for saturday.

Great entertainment tonight. I think a draw was a fair result. I felt we sat back to much after scoring first which led to us conceding. Bad defending for their second goal, we should have cleared it. Was really impressed by rowson tonight, he had lots of energy and tackled well. Great substitution by McCall, puting shaun fraser on. Good cross by him for doolan to score. Looks like another youngster that has a good future. Delighted that we are still in the cup, since we looked finished with 10 minutes to go. I know we got beat, but i felt proud to be a supporter of thistle today. Our fans are 100 times better than dundee's will ever be. Look at the state of those dee fans, they were quiet for most of the game. If we were in that position our fans would not stop singing and cheering the team along, we would go on all day. I didnt bother getting a pie and bovril at half time as i didnt want to give anymore of my money to that joke of a club. There seems to be a problem with us at the start of games, we are always sleeping and look nervous. I also saw balatoni in the warm up 30 minutes before the kick off holding his hamstring looking worried, im guessing he didnt tell anyone about the injury and then 5 mins into the match he had to come off. Hopefully hardie will be ok, i wansn't sure what he injured. I find that the whole attitude of dundee fc stinks, before the match i didnt want them to go bust but after that i have changed my mind. Gary harkins had a poor game, he was lucky not to be sent off, he made no attempt to get the ball and went right through jackie. Money is tight at our club and as fans we get frustrated and the lack of investment in the team, but this is put in perspective when we see dundee who have cheated everyone including themselves. At least our club is not in as bad a position as them. Mon the jags.

I think it is the right decision. Livingston were put down two divisions, so it is only fair that something similar has happened to dundee. They have to realise that their actions have consequences. This decision send out a message for clubs to get themselves in order which can only be good for the long term. Its also good for us as wee probably have a better chance of beating them on saturday.

What a tube pressley is. If he thinks you can win the first division by playing fancy football every week then he needs to get a reality check. It makes winning yesterday all the more sweeter.
