  1. Yes they are. Abdul Osman, Tomas Cerny, Callum Booth, Mustapha Dumbuya and Steven Lawless are all absolutely guaranteed to start if avaliable. Freddie and Gary weren't. As much as I'd have liked them to stay, it's pretty clear they weren't going to be starting week in week out anyway, and, in the case of Frans, this means that Archie probably already has his targets lined up for the spot, given he'll have known seaborne was away for a while now. Replacing those two will be a case of bringing in players who're likely to be back ups anyway.
  2. I might be wrong but was he not a bit of an ********* at the player of the year event last season?
  3. Everything about Belgian league football is very strange, they seem to have playoffs galore for everything and it seems teams from the second tier get a shot at qualifying for Europe through them. Good luck to Frans, thought he was a good solid centre back and am absolute gentleman too. We could do with a bit more pace at the back, though I'm sure that's an argument every club in Scotland bar maybe Celtic will make.
  4. I'm almost 100% sure Leyden is being/has been released?
  5. We also drew and beat Poland away in recent memory, and they're a lot better than Greece or Hungary are.
  6. And we won the last time we faced them. And absolutely dominated the match.
  7. Scotland being better than Northern Ireland are.
  8. http://ptfc.co.uk/news/2015-2016/august_2015/sean_welsh_signs_contract_extension Contract till the end of the season coming.
  9. The home kit looks alright in blue and red, but don't think it'd be great with yellow. I'd still absolutely love an all white kit, save for some red and yellow detailing and probably a single hoop or something would be glorious.
  10. Has anyone seen much of Marc Waters who was at Clyde on loan? Wouldn't be averse to having Scully as number 2, on the basis there won't be too many out there willing to sit on our bench in that position, and it allows us to send the younger guys on loan. At the same time, if he leaves I'll be happy enough.
  11. I'm almost 100% certain end of season matches are always at odd kick off times on the Saturday, since 1 is usually televised and they all have to be played at the same time to try and limit any farcical situations a la Germany v Austria in 1982. A bit annoying, particularly when there's almost nothing at stake but it makes sense.
  12. Pogba's alright. He's not brilliant, but he's hardly John Baird or Henoc Mukendi level of diddy.
  13. Binning Lindsay must be an attempt at a wind up.
  14. I'd take Dow, I don't think he'd be a starter but he looks like a decent enough player.
  15. Welsh isn't a new signing. German I forgot about, admittedly he was a pointless signing but still. How you can say Amoo is a bad signing is beyond me, he's scored a fair amount of goals, and while he's inconsistent he's been fine. I thought Edwards has been good when I've seen him, he looks a good prospect for next season. And I like Pogba, but I understand the "strikers should be only judged on goals" mob won't, but oh well. As long as we stay up, I'll be relatively happy with any season we have.
  16. You mean the Steven Craig who's 35, been released by Dumbarton this season and just been relegated to the League 2?
  17. Apart from Liam Lindsay. Obviously. And our signings this year were Edwards, Miller, Dumbuya, Cerny, Pogba, Muirhead, Nesbitt, Amoo, Booth... I don't think I'm missing any. I think only Muirhead didn't really work out, I know others would argue Pogba as well but I think he's been basically fine. Certainly Cerny, Booth, Dumbuya, Amoo and Miller have to be thought of as successes. Whether or not there's been progress is another matter, but on those points, you're talking shite.
  18. I think it'd go to head to head record in that scenario, in which case Hibs would finish 2nd...
  19. If Caley Thistle keep Hughes, I can see them going down. Their success has been entirely built upon Butcher's team, and the more that that team is dismantled, the more it becomes obvious that he's incapable of replacing the players properly. They've already lost a couple of players on pre-contracts to Dundee, and on track record, they'll not replace them adequately. Hamilton are shocking. Canning is the worst manager in the league. I'll be astounded if they survive next season, they've been saved this year by Killie and United being absolute shambles. Assuming Hibs come up, they'll probably do reasonably, they have a good team, but Falkirk or Raith, or even Killie if they manage to stay up miraculously, will probably struggle a bit. Even St Johnstone are capable of being right down there, they had a shocking run for a long time this year, if they do that again at the start of next season then they might struggle. I'm not saying we definitely won't be down there next year, we might well be, but I have faith in Archie to get it right and keep us safe next year.
