Anyone received season tickets ?
redandyellowallover replied to Bobbyhouston's topic in Main Jags forum
That worked for me, using that method of working out my username and password. If you tried to log in before 1pm, that may have been the problem as the test event wasn't up and running until then. Doesn't seem to have the option of casting off of my phone, so will need to see if I can get in through the browser on my TV tomorrow. -

Was watching on my phone, cast to my sky box and this was OK too. -

This camera system looks like it will really struggle with fast paced, end to end games. -

You'd like to think that for the league games they'll look to change it to that. Its free today so that's fine but would expect better for games I have paid for. Quality of the stream and pictures are OK for me. -

I'm assuming that this is the same set up that I read about that the Mark Millar guy has helped all lower league clubs set up? No camera operator, its all done with motion sensors. I was sure I read that it was going to come with an app that you could pick your camera view etc. That'll maybe come later. -
Players would be mental so sign up to that, but then again its mental to fly to Spain for the day and then come back and play in a football match.

That's in England though, up here the restrictions are still a lot tighter. As we move into the autumn months and the cases inevitably rise as people are driven indoors more, then I think we will see restrictions being tightened up here to ensure that the kids can stay in school. We should be really careful about signing up too many players right at the moment, as we won't be able to furlough them if the league gets shut down before it even begins.

Genuinely can't see a situation where fans are back at the games come October/November. The government have been pretty clear that their priority is getting and keeping the kids back at school and stuff like having fans at football matches is going to be last on the list to come back, and even if it does it will be the first to be cut back should cases rise. With that in mind I struggle to see how any of the lower league clubs can even begin to contemplate signing up players for the new season. I would be very surprised if Thistle play any games this season.

What if they shut down the season?
redandyellowallover replied to West Ender's topic in Main Jags forum
One of the biggest problems is people jumping bar to bar during a day/night out. That's just asking for trouble, but lots of bars that take bookings are limiting this to 1-2 hours so people have no real choice. Don't know how it could possibly be policed though, short of people getting a stamp on their hand to say they had been in a pub and then they can't get access to another one. That's almost impossible to enforce. It's pretty clear though that pubs are going to be a massive problem, indoors anyway. Most stuff opened up and we still saw a decline in cases but 2-3 weeks after the pubs open again we've seen an increase and clusters of cases. The establishments themselves are probably doing everything they can, but ultimately people cant be trusted. Maybe have to reel it back in and only have pubs open that sell food and they have to take bookings. -
If the quality of the picture was good and the stream of a good quality also then I would happily pay £20 to watch a match, if we don't have the option of actually going to the games. That's probably a bit on the high side of what the majority would pay, but it would be likely that 2-3 people that would normally go to the games together will just pay for one stream and watch it together.

What if they shut down the season?

Generally you need to have 2 consecutive "negative" tests to have that confirmed. Would imagine that they will be getting tested again and we'll only hear anything about it if they test positive again. -
I really like it, reminds me a bit of the 2010/2011 kit with the paintbrush effect.

We've decided not to pursue legal action as it would potentially be too costly. -

I'm fast coming to the opinion that we should cause as much damage to other clubs as is possible and hurt them financially. Its incredibly petty, but **** them. They're determined to sacrifice our club to try and protect themselves and we should not go down without a fight. The current proposal would ensure no club is punished, and there is minimal disruption to everyone. -

My current feelings are probably heavily influenced by what's happened over the last couple of months. Ross County have been particularly keen to avoid helping any of the disadvantaged clubs. -

Ross ******* County. One club I would happily see disappear off the face of the earth. Their chairman has been obstructive at every stage of this process. A thoroughly dislikable man. -

17 of the 22 clubs in the Premiership and Championship would need to vote in favour for the plans to pass, and 32 from all four divisions combined. Is what the BBC are saying. Its not unimaginable that these kinds of numbers could be achieved. -

If any clubs vote against this, then it will almost certainly be for those sorts of reasons. Certain clubs just seem determined to obstruct at every stage. Can only hope that some sort of common sense and decency take hold. Would hope that the championship clubs would trade off Hearts to have us and Falkirk in the league but who knows. -

Hearts and Rangers suggestions didn't pass today apparently. Clubs have been offered a 14-10-10-10 league set up which would be permanent. Monday for a decision. This should get the support of many of the lower league teams as there is really no material change and will actually mean promotion for a couple of teams. Will hinge on the Premier League teams. -

Story on BBC about Doncaster speaking to the Premier League teams about trying to find a consensus on reconstruction, specifically a 14 team Premier League for around 5 seasons. I would suggest that Sky may have had a hand in this and will want the Edinburgh derbies for their coverage. This will probably mean a reprieve for us if two go up from the championship and there is no relegation. If the SPFL are driving the reconstruction then you can guarantee the outcome will be what they want it to be. By hook or by crook. Edited to add: the money being gifted to the SPFL looks like being spread evenly between all member clubs, which is a bit ridiculous really. -

Suggestions that championship clubs are going to vote against this as it would mean that in two years there would be potentially 6 teams involved in relegation. This is just such a narrow minded view, even with more relegation spaces there would be a bigger league offering more security. There's also the possibility that they could keep the 2 leagues of 14 if they so wished after the 2 year period. -

Merkel announced earlier that the bundesliga could resume in the second half of May on a date of their choosing. Meeting tomorrow supposedly where I would imagine a date for the first fixtures will be announced. -

There was still one team to vote from the Premier League. Could well be either them or Hearts. -

Why have they released the votes without everyone voting? Absolute madness! That's a lot of pressure on the last team in the championship to submit a vote. Basically all rests on them now. -

Scottish Government are going to recommend the cancellation of gatherings of 500+ people as of Monday. The SPFL will have a decision to make at that point.
