  1. I don't agree with having a franchise in London. To me it just wouldn't be the NFL anymore if one of the teams came from outside the US
  2. Good on him. Also IMO a wonderful passer of the ball. Some of his long diagonal passes are incredible.
  3. I love Bilko's indomitable cheeriness when he posts on here, despite getting it tight from all angles!
  4. I never had a problem with Paton Ian, I hear he may have been a bit cheeky on Facebook and/or Twitter but that doesn't bother me. He was a good player for us and he always seemed very passionate and committed when he played for us.
  5. I thought Gallacher did well enough to keep his place in the team. Fox is a good keeper and he will be back, but I would stick with Gallacher for now. I found it reassuring seeing an old hand like him in goal for us.

Good stuff. I feel really optimistic about the future health of the club on the playing side, even if we get relegated, especially with the generosity of the Weirs in setting up the youth academy and the King of Spain in overall charge of youth development. The club just need to get the scouting side of things sorted ASAP.
  7. ****** hell!!!!!!!!! I understand why that song has become unacceptable to sing but my God, what a shite law that is. Poor guy, that must been terrible having that hang over him like that, although it's good news he won't have to declare it as a conviction.
  8. I mean look at our team, they are a bunch of kids trying to learn top flight football as they go along, I know Archie and Shaggy are on the training ground and the touch line during games but they can't cross the line with them during match days.
  9. Exactly what I was thinking Alan. Was going to post something similar but I couldn't put into words my thinking on Balatoni. I wouldn't necessarily disagree with dropping him from the starting eleven for a few games but I still think he has the potential to become a very good Premier League defender. After all, I remember thinking he was a bombscare in Division 1 but he eventually became one of that division's top centre backs.
  10. We will only be able to tell if he's a good signing when he has played a few times for us. I feel optimistic about it though. Thistle have the youngest and most inexperienced starting XI in the league and they are doing fantastically well so far but our young band of brothers need an experienced player or two in there to help and guide them through this first season back in the top league
  11. I respect the sentiment behind the banner but it gives the impression the fans are expecting to see their team lose.
  12. Foxy's a very good keeper with the potential to grow into an outstanding one but it might be good for the team to bring in Gallacher for a while just to see if all that experience he has would be helpful. As I have said elsewhere on the forum this morning, our team is just so damn young and inexperienced, perhaps having an old hand like Gallacher could help the boys out!
  13. Lol that was a helluva post yodajag!
  14. Just looking at mhs and Stewarts suggested line ups and it is really striking how young and inexperienced our team is. We badly need at least one, probably two, experienced leader type players to help along our team and talk them through when they see mistakes developing and when games start to turn against us. Such a blow in this regard that Osbourne is out.
  15. Must admit I was 'oleiing' . Just trying to cheer myself up a bit I suppose
  16. Thistle are going to finish 10th you bunch of panic merchants. As far as I am concerned we took a hiding today off a team that I predicted would finish 3rd in the Premier League before the season started, it was a bad day but onwards and upwards.
  17. The one time I was in the shop the staff were nice and helpful so not all of them are ignorant and unhelpful ie the young lad that was doing his best to help you with the tops. Having said that, there is no doubt that when you look at the overall picture the shop is a total and utter joke, even more so for a top flight club. I don't know what the arrangement is or even if the club can exert any pressure on the shop to improve product availability and customer service?
  18. Agree with all this. What a terrific performance, Thistle looked very sharp and dominated the game apart from a wee 10 minute spell before and after the County goal. It's not an exaggeration to say the scoreline flattered the opposition. Also I would like to add Dools was excellent, great to see him get off the mark this season.
  19. It was certainly a very good night because of what St Johnstone achieved, better than a usual night for Scottish clubs in Europe (barring celtic and old rangers often doing relatively well in comparison with other Scottish clubs)
  20. Some one on pie and bovril posted a link to a green brigade page and there quite a few comments from Celtic fans on the page getting tore in, calling them an embarrassment and telling them not to sing pro IRA songs etc. I thought that was interesting
  21. Love the new top. Will be sporting it tomorrow, can't wait
