  1. My pal here telling me you could get fizzy spangles? Thought that was refreshers!!
  2. The blackcurrant pack reminded me of Tunes cough sweets!
  3. Linda on record as blocking me yet still obsessed. Must be missing me!!
  4. With Craigen now suspended, I'd be tempted to out Stevo in MF Saturday. Taylor up top & go with other 10. Last night went as expected. No complaints about pen, red card, performance & result. On to Saturday. Biggest game we've had in a long time. Call me a sceptic but a defeat & I think we'll struggle to stay up. I'd take a point just now.
  5. I'd ignore Linda if I were you Barney. He's a sensitive wee soul that as soon as you try to engage him in debate he thinks it's a dig. Hence me taking the preverbial with his username. He doesn't like to be proved wrong or listen to an other side of an arguement so takes the huff, spits his dummy & blocks. JeanieD- very good post. Point well made. My take. Said a few weeks ago the Motherwell game would be crucial. Avoid defeat & we still have the 4 point gap. Win & we SHOULD be safe from that position. I say should because if Hamilton end up in the bottom 6 along with St Mirren, they both are looking like cannon fodder so 6 points for everyone. That would leave 9 to play for & with teams around us playing each other, I think the maths would make it nigh on impossible for anyone to catch us. That said, defeat on Saturday & I shudder to think. Despite the recent run of results, it'll surprise few- if any- that I still think the manager out his depth. All the late goals conceded over this season (having not learned from last) may yet come back & haunt us. Those shouting about most points in a generation or positive GD- Personally I think you're clutching at straws. The manager can make a difference. Look at how Hamilton have fared since Neill left. Look at how well County have done under McIntyre when he got his players to play his system. Even Sevco bringing in McCall. Recent results for them showed how poor McCoist & McDowall were. I hope we survive & as said before, I hope AA proves me wrong. I'm just not overly optimistic at the moment. I also wonder how many of this squad have got the stomach for the fight with a good few already possibly thinking of their next destination. Maybe the BoD will have put a package together to see good financial rewards to stay up. Was this not the case last season? Anyway, as I said, win Saturday & it's all academic imo. Just disappointing that we've been dragged into this. & despite teams below us going on 'crazy' runs, that tells you more about us than it does them- March 2015 before we win 2 consecutive games in SPFL. A season & almost 3/4 of the games gone. Is that all the players fault?
  6. Think we have to go with same 11. Go with the attitude that it's a free game & although we need to get in their faces, nothing silly a la Banzo in cup game. Injuries part of the game but if we were to lose someone for Sat due to stupidity & a red card suspension then that would almost be unforgivable. Alberts Ghost- Wish I had your optimism. I think Mwell a cert to beat St Mirren & Ross Co to beat St J who seem to have gone of the boil last few weeks & were perhaps a little fortunate to get a result Sat against the league's recent form whipping boys. As such I'll be putting a 50p bet on both Mwell & Ross Co to win in the hope that my recent form at the bookies continues!!
  7. Would've bitten your hand off for a point pre match but gutted we didn't come away with all 3. Positives: Starting 11 consistency Clean Sheet Point nearer to safety/Killie James Craigen
  8. I said the same re Lawless as wasn't first occasion & also not playing O'Donnell as he 'seems' to have committed his future elsewhere. 2 players that have scored big goals in last few weeks. I still stand by fact that as soon as we're safe (fingers crossed) the guys who intimate they're off next season should be sat down for the rest of the season. Give a few younger players a chance.
  9. ^^^^^ Agree with all of this. What I would find interesting is comments from fans that aren't nomads but regularly post on here but rarely attend games is finding out why not? I realise work commitments for many but others who don't attend regularly but live within Central Scotland (East or West), what would make you attend more regularly? Price for product is my big thing. Overpaid players another which then leads many clubs to go for the cheaper option of foreign players. I'm not necessarily talking about SPL or EPL/Championship players but I have a mutual friend who's currently playing League 1 football in England who insists that unless it's one of Celtic, Rangers or perhaps Aberdeen, it's not worth his time coming home. Personally I think it's time for a salary cap in football.
  10. Liking the love in above. I'll state again what I did a few weeks ago- this started when I was called names for expressing an opinion & backing it up with facts. Some may think I'm a troll because I have a different opinion than them, that's up to then. Just dint start bleating when you get a taste of your own medicine. I've noticed over the last few weeks some have been conspicuous by their absence. Others have changed their opinion. Some have even changed it back again. I have to give the manager credit for his changing of tactics over last couple game. It's brought the best out if Bannigan & a couple others. It's still concerning that it took a number of consecutive defeats & until mid Match for this to happen. Also the fact a few injuries & suspensions may have forced his hand but nonetheless whether by accident or design he's proved me wrong last couple games re tactical awareness. Now here's the thing, I genuinely thought that a win Saturday would see us one victory from safety. Looking at Motherwell, Ross Co & Kilmarnock's next 3 fixtures compared to ours then the Motherwell game pre split might see us having to win it not to go level on points with Mitherwell & below Ross Co at that point. The St Mirren defeat & Ross County double loss in our shocking run would look even worse should that be the case. The manager has impressed me with his team & tactics over last month - even Dungwall where he was let down by a certain player. But as the saying goes, one swallow & all that. I'm not going to put anyone on ignore as willing to debate in a grown up fashion with those who are 'grown up' but neither am I going to apologise for giving out what are indeed childish names. But as I said, you can't take it, don't give it out. I will apologise if this seems to be an attention seeking post like Lunda likes posting as it's not meant to be!
  11. ^^^^^ That's because Linda's blocked us all!!
  12. Agree on both points but did we see Ross County all of a sudden being able to gather the momentum they have. When it comes to the split, if a team I below us is able to gather momentum then we could find ourselves in danger. That's why I think any result today is important. A win especially & you could argue that for the first time this season we have some momentum.
  13. Don't think Taylor fit. As for moving Bannigan.... No, No, No, No, No!!! For me, that's part of the reason why he's not been as effective this season. He's played holding midfield, attacking midfield, left off the front & left back. Keep him where he played last week, get Osman to do the 'dirty work' & tell Stuart to run the show like last week. Keep Craigen in for his energy. Same again barring any knocks.
  14. The anomaly being the bottom 6 where we have to play each other though. That's almost what ultimately cost Hibs last season. For what it's worth, I don't think there's any chance now we'll finish bottom. Not just the points now but the nature of their defeat Saturday conceding in last minute. If we end this weekend 9 points or better ahead of Motherwell then I reckon we'll be safe even from play off. They have Hamilton this weekend so no doubt they'll be looking at this as a must win for them. After Sat, I think 2 more wins between now & end of season will see us safe. Preferably sooner than later.
  15. I'm guessing that was an 'opinion' piece in the club programme in the same way that others offer an opinion on here. Seems only some opinions count though.
  16. Came across this on STV website there whilst looking at the goals. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/partick-thistle/313559-partick-v-st-johnstone-thistle-giving-up-leads-who-is-the-mannus/ 16 points given up from winning positions. ICT next with 12. Dundee with 11 & DU with 10 next after that.
  17. Yeah. Once upon a time I'm sure the programme was known as 'Pravda'. Nothing changes then.
  18. Stuart Bannigan take a bow. Ran the show from start to finish. Goal just topped off a 10/10 performance.
  19. Heard that also. Watched his reaction at the end also. Walked off the park pretty quickly at the end of the game. Didn't applaud the fans or congratulate his team mates.
  20. Your tablets work better than mine CGMB. I don't think the poster Ian Mac could've put it any better for me in his postings on this thread. Once again it's the so-called 'life blood' of the club that are being left in the dark. At this moment, it is a shambles on the park & communication (or lack of) off the park leads many to the same conclusions that it is being reciprocated in the boardroom. If only after STJ etc, the fans trust held shares & had a boardroom rep. Fans in the dark once again & sunny disposition not happening for me. Keep up the persuasive posts though CGMB
  21. Length of time as a manager not really an argument either way. As was pointed out a few weeks back, longest serving manager across the 4 leagues is Dick Campbell. Then there's the saying familiarity breeds contempt!! Something isn't right. That's plain to see. If the next lot of players, so to speak, make the same mistakes as this lot then when is the manager questioned. To an extent we dominated County on Sat but same old, same old in terms of result. Higgy way wrong to do what he did but think his frustrations on the park are matched by more & more of us off the park. If we take this form into bottom 6 & the teams below us are less than what the gap is at the moment then I think we'll end up going down- even via a play off.
  22. OK, I'll bite! Just new faves in the squad? Where does the manager come into this? Can't keep blaming the players.
