  1. With goal difference all but makes us champions, but mathematically not...
  2. Right Jags - let's do this second half otherwsie it's get tae falkirk, literally. Crowd - 4,963...
  3. Oh for the days of Nomad streams and live video Shuggie karaoke!!!
  4. Not from me Shuggie - this team doesn't give up.
  5. And normally Forbes is decent from set-pieces...
  6. Tut, tut Bobby - or should it be Boaby?
  7. Agreed, so no doubt it will "officially" be just over 4,000!
  8. Haven't seen a photo of the North Stand yet...
  9. Was lucky enough to be at Firhill on wednesday, back in Cologne now... still have the radio live through my tv. So wish I was there... sounds like an unimspiring start, but the boys have been through this before. Let's do it Jags!
  10. Found the answer to my own question on a thread below. Anyway, here's hoping we can get our mojo back on wednesday. Mon' Thistle!
  11. Been over for the Easter break and seen us at Cowdenbeath, Raith Rovers and yesterday. Just got the Morton game before I have to head back to Germany. I have loved the singing at all three games and I'll lend my voice in the North Stand. It will be my first time in the stand - do you have to get a ticket like for the Jackie Husband or is it pay at the turnstile? And please Thistle, send me home hoarse but happy!
  12. I hope we do have more than enough tickets for this. Bear in mind that it is around Easter so many Nomads, like me, and others round the UK will be more able to go to this match than normal. I think the main point is valid. If Livi was big enough beyond doubt, we would not be having this thread. The fact that it MIGHT not be big enough is a worry for me. If people are confident it is more than enough then fine, time will tell. I remember being at Stirling Albion and feeling it weird to be a Jags fan singing Championees. I didn't expect to sing that song as a Jags fan since we had never looked like winning anything since I started supporting the Jags. It was unforgetable. If Livi is too small, I would would not be best pleased at missing out on my first Cup win... Being in a boozer watching it on telly is not the same. On top of this, if it does turn out to be too small, then we would also lose out of extra ticket money.
  13. What on earth is going on with technology today? Vidiprinter has a gremlin, sky sports centre gives up at half time, even the official website has us as second in the league after 8 matches..?! There was me thinking we had extended our lead to four points since the Dunfy result I saw was still 0-0 - now I find they are above us. Have I drunk so much that I have been in a coma and lost a week?
  14. Not sure about the desserts. Gateux? The absence of the letter a after the e is bad enough, but the lack of circumflex gives me the boke. This is not the Thistle way. Incidentally, gateux with a circumflex means "senile"... The rest sounds spot on.
  15. I only hope Rangers get past QOS and we play them either in the semi or the final. Money counts and if we get a decent amount of money out of them we will be able to strengthen well in January. I am not sure a home match against them would bring such a huge amount of money, especially as the OF do not travel in such numbers as they used to. Yes, it would be nice to win the cup, but the league is number one priority.
  16. In Germany , the atmosphere is simply like no other. The terracing obviously helps a lot. Many new stadia have been put up, all with terracing that can be altered fopr UEFA matches. Most grounds have the turnstiles set back a bit from the stadium and have a large concourse before you go in the actual stadium (a bit like Murrayfield). This encourages fans to get to the ground early and enjoy the bars that exist. It leads much more to pre-match atmosphere rather than waiting til the last minute in the boozer like we have to in the UK. The football is actually not that great. Very much counter-attacking in stayle. Only the mighty FSV Mainz 05 and Dortmund (where the trainer used to manage the mighty FSV Mainz 05..!) play along the lines of the EPL. Most teams are awash with eastern european players because they are cheaper... You might have guessed my German team is Mainz by the way! FC Cologne is a joke, much to my amusement..!
  17. Oops - thought this one was the Ramsdens...
  18. Jackie talking it up as a massive match - the further we go in this the likelihood we meet Rangers. That will mean lots of cash, hence it is a vital match... Get yourself along..!
  19. I say "guess" because there is no other information other than the statement on ptfc.co.uk which mentions we get something out of this and there is no information on a set amount to be received. It seems a different financial structure of payment is in place. That's all I tried to say..!
  20. We can only guess what the financial structure of this deal will be, but I doubt Celtic know how many of their fans will turn up for the games. If they do not pay a fee up front for use of our ground, they will take some money at least and give us the other half. It's the safest way for them. I don't suppose we are in any position to dictate how much they should pay us. Anything would be a bonus - it is not as if there were queues of teams wanting to use Firhill... However, I would hope a bare minum would be to pay the extra leccy bills on top of the cut we eventually get...
