  1. The squad lists are the one thing that I think lets the SFL website down. It has otherwise developed into an excellent resource one that I rely on. With reference to a previous post our OS does include Shaun Fraser, albeit minus a picture which needs to be rectified. The squad lists on the OS and programme included all players on full professional contracts and/or Modern Aprentices. They don't include all the other players on various youth and amateur contracts. Across the variety of contracts there are presently 67 players registered to Partick Thistle. Don't forget we run teams at u13, u15, u17 and u19 levels.
  2. Turns 17 in a few days time. Ex Drumchapel Amateurs.
  3. Half the gate money after expenses and a small amount of TV money. Enough, perhaps, to pay for the bus hire and pre-match meal etc. IMO as it is a semi-final the TV money should be shared equally, it's just the luck of the draw that County are the home side, but that's just my opinion.
  4. Full quote: "I’ve been determined not to place too much emphasis on the league table at the moment but it is nice to climb off the bottom." If the quote from last week is also supposed to be attributed to www.ptfc.co.uk the actual quote is: "It’s not pleasant being at the foot of the league but I’m more interested in how the league table will look in March than how it looks right now.”
  5. Just in. Or actually in the pub being a sad git with laptop out. :-) Perfect away performance. Solid and well organised at the back. Industrious and a threat on the break. Chuffed for so many people today but especially me. :-) First pint going down a treat.
  6. I have a signal inside Victoria Park. Not sure how reliable it is.
  7. It's a 3 Dongle that I've got. Can get a strong signal outside Victoria Park but nothing inside the ground. It's the only ground I've experienced signal problems and we're there two weekends on the trot. Tad frustrating.
  8. Just a little heads up re the coverage on www.ptfc.co.uk re tomorrow’s game. Unless things have changed since last season, I can’t get an internet connection at Victoria Park. As a consequence it would seem very unlikely that we will be able to provide the usual Live Text Commentary service. Indeed not being able to get access to the ‘Local Press Box for Local People’ it will be difficult to get the lap top out in any case. There’s pretty much no dongle signal from Aviemore to about Perth so everything is likely to be that bit slower and delayed tomorrow. The same will apply next Sunday but there is at least live TV coverage of that fixture.
  9. MacBeth is presently injured. It was hoped that he would be back in training last week but he is still injured.
  10. The U17s are playing immediately before them (kick-off 12;15). They are worth watching. I like the look of McGrotty.
  11. Having watched Archie since he was about 16 and had the huge honour of serving on his testimonial committee I feel qualified to comment. I've rarely come across a footballer less filled by ego than he is. Professional is an over used phrase in football but it sums Alan Archibald up perfectly. Legend.
  12. My thanks to James, my number one fan. You don't live in Lenzie do you?
  13. Thank you. You will be pleased to learn that the team lines will be back in Saturday's programme and should be appearing on the back page of the programme for the remainder of the season. The Berwick Rangers crowd was corrected in the Falkirk programme. Your point re 'closed-door match' is noted. Thanks again, and feel free to PM/e-mail me any further observations you might have.
  14. Again, please accept my apology PaleGreySky, and anyone else who read it, my careless error once more. And thanks for drawing it to my attention. BTW, it's Mark Burbrige. First season at Firhill, ex St Mirren. The player profile section could do with being updated - will get on to that once Saturday's programme has gone to the printers.
  15. We wanted to get the centre spread back for photographs which meant moving the Ignis ad to the back page. That might be shifting elsewhere so we get the back page back for squad lists. It will defintely be back for the Ayr programme which, as a Challenge Cup tie, will be the usual 16 page programme for these games.
  16. Back injury apparently assuming my word is still worth anything.
  17. Yes a Thistle 'fan'. Spat at rather than upon to clarify.
  18. Don't normally post on a Saturday night when emotions are running high, and I'm very angry myself right now, but I wonder if those that were upset over what was supposed to have happened in Kirkcaldy feel about an, unnamed, Thistle player being spat upon at the full-time whistle today and another Thistle employee being told "hope you suffer a stroke" are as equally upset about that. Proud guys, just so very proud.

    Piranha-3D

After seeing the cinematic classic I'm sure it will walk off with numerous oscars. It's not just the story, which is deep and thought provoking, but the film score is fantastic and photography is simply beautiful. The unexpected twists keep you on the edge of your seat until the very finish. I don't want to give too much away about the finish but I'm not ashamed to say that I wept. So moving.
  20. Too much haste not enough attention to detail. Sorry. Will try harder on Saturday.
  21. Lance to Dundee? He wasn't at Firhill last night. Something is most certainly afoot. In Lance's case we will waive the right to compensation.
