Agree. Its the rumours and counter rumours. Never boring supporting the Jags. As I have said lets hope come Friday we can get 3 points and Friday night /Saturday we are talking about a good display on the park.

Hi javeajag, just saying we asked for a statement from our current board. We now have 2. Not sure what else can be said. Only time will tell if this is a good thing or bad thing for our team. Obviously I hope no matter how it ends, it benefits Thistle.

I was one of the fans who said the board should give us a statement to let us know what is happening. We now have had 2. Whether you think it is good enough or not is another matter. We will just need to wait and see. Lets hope we can get 3 points on Friday. Weather forecast for not a very nice day/night on Friday.

Unlike the forum poster who uses his name, he was a credit to Thistle.

Only seen STV news just statements from the board and Colin weir read out. Only interview was with Gerry Collins but not at Firhill.
  6. STV news saying, there will be no team bus for Morton game. But after that there will be a bus for all other games.
  7. Yes ptd, despite many decades of following Thistle I am teetotal. Even the current problems will not have me drinking alcohol.

Hi allyo, for me the problem is the uncertainty of everything. We now have an insider saying that Thistle is a shambles. What was their motivation for doing this interview ? We have a post from the Jags trust, who seem to be in favour of the takeover. With some sound bites bit nothing else to back it up. Meanwhile us the fans have little to nothing to go with, apart from rumours. Not the best atmosphere to begin a season that most of us had hoped we would be up nearer the top 4 and not struggling like last season to stave of relegation. As others have said we really need to hear something from Firhill. To give us the fans some idea of what is going on and where our club is going.
  9. Ibrox, Parkhead, St. Mirren(old and new stadium) and the Tony Macaroni all at the front of the stand.
  10. When Robert first went to Firhill, we used the enclosure with the away fans behind us. Then from the promotion season onwards we used the front of the John Lambie , which Robert loved because he was in with the Thistle fans and when Thistle scored at that end he got to see the players celebrations close up. Robert used a power chair and there was nowhere else he could go but ground level. He never complained about the view. At Scotland games at Hampden, we were either again at ground level or at the very back of the stand, which was not the best view.
  11. Disabled Thistle fans also use the front of the John Lambie stand. Away fans who are disabled use the old enclosure in the Colin Weir stand.
  12. After watching footage of the hooligan behaviour of the away fans at Rugby park yesterday. Destroying the roof of the disabled shelter and injuring a fan, I feel our board should be praised for the disabled viewing platform at Firhill. The platform is at the back of the JHS, it gives an excellent view of the pitch and gives the fans using it very good protection in bad weather. Also there could be no repeat of the scenes at Rugby park. I know we have some reasons to question the board, but on this occasion they should be praised. Below is a picture of the platform and the view from the platform.
  13. A similar result on Friday would do.
  14. If I remember correctly Dundee Utd 'equalised' after our last minute winner, but it was chopped of for offside.
  15. As you say Fearchar you were at the game and seen how we played. I just think it is to early to write us off after 1 league game. We will need to improve vastly and I hope to see that improvement at Firhill Friday night.
  16. They make Fort William look like a good team.
  17. Lets hope we can keep that record going. I know it wont be easy, but if we win and have 4points from our first 2 games that would be an encouraging start to our league campaign. Would be good to see a big Thistle support get behind the team.
  18. After your Storey re - signs for Thistle thread, a touch of Karma I would say.
  19. With only 1league game played some are already writing off our chances of getting a top 4 place. I wasn't at Alloa so I cant comment on how we played. I think the league doesn't really start taking shape until every team has played all the other teams. So I think we should know better when we have played 9 games just what sort of season we are going to have. Of course if we haven't won any after say 6 games we would need to look at things. Meanwhile next weeks game V Dundee Utd might also give us an idea of where we are going.
