Hi WW. Really unsure, Goodwin seems to be a strong favourite on this forum although he has only been at Alloa seems to have done a good job for them,so he might be worth taking a chance on. I think the board did the right thing giving Archie and Shaggy a chance to get us back up and I also think they did the right but very difficult thing by sacking them last week. So I trust them to get the right team in charge to hopefully have us in at the very least a play off position. Whoever it is I will give them 100% support as I am sure all Thistle fans will. I will be keeping a eye open to see who I can spot in the stand at the Dundee Utd game.

This. Plus we had 5 years in the premiership and finished 6th our highest position in 35 years, during that period. There is no doubt that last season and the beginning of the league campaign this season has been poor. Unfortunately this meant they had to go. But lets not undestimate the job that both Archibald and Paterson done before last season.

To early imo. But whoever the management team are they should use the experience that Dools and Erskine have at Firhill to help them. Maybe a few years down the line the dream team will happen.

Brother in law is Morton fan and was not bothered when they sacked Duffy,said he always played players out of position.During our play off against Livi Duffy spoke about how to beat them,but his Morton side never managed to beat them once last season.

Although our results/performances have been poor since we got top 6 it was still a big decision for the board to sack the management team. Imo we should wait and see who applies for the job. But as has also been suggested we may already have somebody ready to come in.

I take it whoever we appoint will be expected to get promotion or top 4 at least. So I think we need somebody with experience although Archie was a novice and won us promotion.

Sad day and as the statement says the achievements of Archibald and Paterson can never be taken away. But unfortunately it had to happen as we have been poor for the last 18 months or so and it did not look as if Archie and Shaggy could turn the form around.
