  1. I don't believe the conspiracy theory of Dundee delaying their vote to try to put other clubs into adminstration by delaying SPFL payments, and having their points reduced by 25. Even if true, it's hard to imagine the SPFL Board not suspending that points deduction rule given the circumstances (and the composition of the Board). Doncaster I suspect will (falsely) claim that the 17.00 hrs "deadline" was merely the starting gun for the 28 day consultation period. Dundee should come clean and say whether or not they have sent their vote to the SPL and whether it was yes or no. That would clarify matters.
  2. Why issue and set a deadline if has no standing and can be ignored. Madness all round!
  3. Even if the the missing vote be declared null and void, 7 out of 9 clubs still meets the 75% hurdle.
  4. We are well past the 17.00 hrs deadline, and no news as far as I can see. Can't decide if that is good or bad.
  5. McCall doesn't actually say that Dobbie played for Thistle in the article.
  6. Donald Dewar told a story told to him by Tony Higgins. As Higgins went to take a throw-in from in front of the Shed, fan 1 shouts" C'mon Tony gie us some magic" As Higgins ran forward, fan 2 shouts " Aye f........... disappear"
  7. They're all facing the wrong way!
  8. I would be surprised if players' contracts have no break clauses that allow clubs to suspend contracts or reduce payments in extraordinary circumstances. Footballers are no different to others who will have to suffer financial loss because of the pandemic. Clubs' survival come before players' incomes. Irrespective of any such clauses, players and other staff may take a long term view and reason that it is better to take a pay cut now than have no club to employ them in the not too distant future. That attitude will be easier to adopt in smaller, part time clubs.
  9. Send me a cheque payable to cash.
  10. Don't tell Low for heavens sake, or we'll never see a fan owned club. Rangers, before their little spot of bother, were buying or about to buy Carlisle United, as a trojan horse to give them an entry into the English leagues. That was more about giving priority to their would be English operation and using the Scottish leagues for a reserve team.
  11. Does anyone know anything about MBM Board Nominees, the other listed director of 3BC apart from Low. Companies House list 3BC as the sole director of MBM Board Nominees. All a bit circular. Low has no directorships other than 3BC according to Companies House.
  12. BBC live text had us given a penalty. Then text changed. "penalty" disappeared - what happened? BBC stats are pure fiction given the number of saves QOS made.
  13. I feel a bit more optimistic than most. The January changes coupled with injuries have set us back, but once the changes bed in and our injury list shrinks, results I think will improve. The extra dig of Graham and McKinnon in the spine of the team should also make a difference. 2-1 Jags tonight. p.s. I feel more confident of things on the pitch that things off it.
  14. That's very good and very welcome news.
  15. I'd like to correct an earlier post I made about the % of Club shares owned by 3BC. The correct figure is I believe 55% not the 82% I stated. I missed a 2015 share issue that was confirmed in November last year. The two fan trusts between them own 26%, so if they act in unison, they have a veto in any major changes proposed by 3BC. Acting in any form does not appear to be a strong suit of either Trust, far less acting in unison.
  16. I have never suggested a boycott.
  17. We all want these things, but the third sentence assumes that the chairman has no influence or effect on the performance of the Club/team.
  18. Low is now the sole director of Three Black Cats, with MBM Board Nominees also listed on the board. Low is the only named dierector of MBM. Low now controls around 81% of the Club's shareholding for which she paid not one penny. What is unclear is what will happen after Colin Weir's estate is settled. The shares in Three Black Cats may be bequeathed to Christine Weir (who owns PTFC shares), or other members of his family. The nightmare outcome is for 3BC's shares to be bequeathed to Low. Low's bold takeover of the PTFC board might suggest that she knows who will shortly own 3BC's PTFC shareholding. None of the current PTFC Board own shares in the business, so Low has complete and utter control until the Weir estate is settled - which could take some time. I'm afraid the Weirs fell under the spell of Low and for that we have all suffered. What also seems clear is that it was only Colin Weir's intention to gift shares to the fans if, and only if. the fan organisation met his approval. That approval now rests with Low.
  19. Apportioning the blame for the precipitous fall since our top six finish is clearly a tricky exercise given the number of suspects. However what concerns me is the process by which the Club's ownership is resolved. Correct me if I am wrong, but the reporting of Colin Weir's statements last year referred to his intention to transfer shares to a fan owned club should that arrangement meet with his approval. That approval now rests with Jacqui Low, who is the sole director of Three Black Cats following Colin Weir's death last December, and who now controls, by my estimate, 82% of the Club's shares. I hope the working groups come up with the goods. There is little doubt that team performance is being adversely affected by the uncertainty surrounding the Club. The sooner this is resolved the better.
  20. And you are ranting about someone ranting about someone else having nothing to rant about. Wheras this post is rant free (before you think about a response).
  21. From accounts of Sneddon's good performance against Clyde in the Glasgow Cup, it must surely mean that he gets the nod ahead of Fox. Even if McCall thinks that Sneddon is not significantly better than Fox (presumably the case) persisting with Fox sends the wrong message to other players - mediocre performances are not punished! McCall must also change the central defence to give some confidence to the midfield, and allow some pace to be encouraged and some risks to be taken to get behind their full backs. Not surprisingly, the team lacks confidence, and I'm sure this stems from the poor goalkeeping and central defending. Sorting that has to be the number one priority for McCall.
  22. Does anyone know exactly what her day to day involvement is?
  23. Bad as it certainly was, perhaps we can draw some comfort from the number of players missing last night for various reasons, and who will improve the team when they return. More worrying is the lack of player motivation, and that has to be laid at the door of McCall and his assistants. That lack of urgency in the team perhaps stems in part from the uncertainty surrounding the future ownership of the Club, and possibly the apparent slackness in the way the Club is generally run. These last remarks may be wide of the mark, and are simply impressions that may be wrong, but we have now had three managers in less than three years and have not improved. Something more fundamental than changing the management is needed to steady the ship.
