  1. Ignore. Just went to normal freebies. Channel 57.
  2. Sorry for being a nugget. Got the cheapest virgin package and no access to the game. What's wrong?
  3. So happy about this. Will benefit the club, national team and broader community. Hats off to all.
  4. The vid won't play on my phone but the paused scene looks to be Portland Timbers. I watched their reserve team a couple of weeks ago in Portland. Must have been few thousand for reserve game. VERY family focused, 8 different craft beers on offer to drink at seat, lots of stuff we could use in Scotland. Kris Boyd must have been gutted when he was let go and had to go back to Killie. "FC. PT".
  5. We play Celtic on the Sunday. They play Ajax at home on Tuesday. Was hoping they would be away to Barcelona or AC Milan on the Wed but beggars and choosers.
  6. mrD is spot on. The Jags Trust is a body where fans can join, contribute and be elected to influence the club as it owns shares in PTFC. However it shows the utopian dream of "fan owned clubs" is difficult to manage as people fall out and have hissy fits and then resign and slag it off from the sidelines on message boards. This happens in all walks of like from youth club football, PTA's, Round Table you name it. Committees and local organisation are very difficult to manage as people do not accept that they will be voted against or people will disagree with them. This happens in work all the time - I can imagine if I threw my toys out everytime I was overuled or an idea parked I'd be out of a job. You suck it up and move on. I'm not a member of the trust, I probably should be, but if people really want to influence it then they can join and get voted in. It's democracy but when democracy works and they do not like the result instead of staying and continue to work they jack it all in. At the very least it is bad manner and bad form to have a go at people on a message board who are putting effort in. It's almost cowardly when if you really cared you could engage with the people face to face in a respectful manner and work together.
  7. FFS you are supposed to be calming me down! :-)
  8. I'm feeling positive about this. I think we'll get at least a draw. Totally no logic or evidence to support this theory but that's my feeling. Hope Thistle fans are going along. You can still buy tickets online to collect from SFA website or buy from portakabins at Hampden. There will be 7000 Belgians there so need to make sure we support Gordon Strachan and build towards 2016.
  9. If anyone of us was offered the money to talk about football they would take it. Without a doubt. One slip of the tongue and he is immediately branded an England supporter but on the other hand you see his reaction when England scored and Lineker, Wright et al are going mental and he is just sitting there. It would be good for the club to invite him to a game and bring him out to the fans. Keeps the relationship alive and gets us a bit of attention.
  10. I'm missing the Aberdeen Home game as I am getting married. Gutted. But putting on a brave face and trying to right my speech which is quite difficult. I would find that I am generally a confident person. Not loud, the life and soul of the party but can mix well in company but this is making my crap it. Trying to get something down that has a small element of humour but also structured correctly and means weel so if any has any tips that I can rip off please pass them on. I've done the usual internet searches but none are filling me much confidence.
  11. To be honest generally Rangers and Celtic have had the best players who have a winning mentality with European experience. I'd prefer it to be Thistle players but that's the state of play. Sometimes when they get picked it gets taken as favouritism but they had the power for so long. In the early eighties the team was full of Aberdeen and Dundee United players..
  12. It seems quite straightforward to me where as others have said the fixtures for tv should be published 3 or 4 months in advance. Every week should have a Friday night game. They have proven to be popular. That can be on tv. These should be derby type games to ensure the crowd at game is not damaged. Majority of games kick off at Saturday 3pm. Sunday games will be used for teams (Celtic) in European competition where necessary so these would be changed at shorter notice. Any "risky" games as judged by police can be on earlier at Saturday or Sunday but these would be relatively short say Edinburgh derby.
  13. Only made it to Motherwell Away annoyingly this season. My season ticket is still waiting in the office to be picked up. Was hoping to see Fraser but I agree him and Osbourne were not working right but Fraser never hid and was always dropping deep to collect ball from Fox so hope he still gets a chance. Osbourne is a bit like Paton, solid and sits in front of the defence while in an ideal world I would like our midfielders to be fluid, one going up, the other protecting and vice versa.
  14. **Negative comment alert** Don't really see it for sale in many places so difficult to buy. When I have tried it it's decent.
  15. Does anyone know the details of the £1.5 million UEFA give to the Scottish game after Celtic qualified for the group stages? Does it go to the SFA, Premiership clubs etc? Getting a £100k boost would mean a lot to our club. Get some debt down and invest in youth would be my choice if this Brucie Bonus comes our way.
  16. Instead of expecting the club to do something why not the "singers", groups of friends, supporters buses organise themselves and get a block of tickets.
  17. They did. It was Ross County and we'll dish out another hiding soon. The Motherwell game was a learning curve for a team made up of players who are from a lower division (but many have potential to play higher than Scottish Premiership) and are more than holding their own in the past few games. The last 35 minutes gave me satisfaction when we started playing our way and using the full width of the pitch and passing what we now expect. The team were clapped off by over 1000 fans. You don't get that often in a 1-0 defeat. The day we bring on a Kevin Kyle figure (and no disrespect to the big man) is when we go backwards with this new club philosophy.
  18. As long as the young boys are developing as players and individuals the results come low down in my priorities.
  19. I'd take that above with Dools coming onto replace Baird.
  20. Also liked the Motherwell Young Team. Supporting their local club with some noise and colour.
  21. Nothing wrong with Doolan. Starved of service and balls pumped up to him. First half we were dreadful. Did not go wide and ball got stuck and cancelled out in central midfield. Higgy coming on made a world of difference and everyone took a step up in performance. Forbes dud well too, always looking for the ball and some great passes. It was a learning experience as we were nudged and muscled off the ball in first half. For cup game give Higgy, Osbourne and Forbes starts then look forward to next league game and make minor tweaks where suitable.
  22. Can it also be the case that positivity rarely gets advertised but negativity always does hence distortion of any perception.
  23. Charlie you were my last hope for spotting a pub in the wilderness.
