I agree with Camaillan and Fearchar. We were well in control but didn't manage to stretch Clyde. Maybe the pitch was too narrow. Shooting needs to be practised under pressure as it was poor today. Elliot and Erskine, I thought, were poor. Bannigan and Muirhead the pick of the bunch today. Fox had absolutely nothing todo apart from the save right at the end.

I haven't been to any of the preseason so can't comment on any of the new guys - but I think that Rowson will start(unless injured) as he is one of only 3 senior players and has been outstanding in recent years.

Don't know how you will find out one way or another. Was it not a secret ballot ?

I believe that even for cup matches the seat is reserved for the ST holder if they turn up. Haven't had a season ticket for a while so not sure about this.

That is my point,MWM. Despite DB sending an e mail to another fan saying Thistle will vote no it seems that because they havent actually said it in the statement you don't believe they voted no. Clyde didn't say in the statement that they voted no but you believe them. Go figure.

Why should I give it a rest and not everyone else. Why are you singling me out. Is I because I don't agree ? Have you read the statement by Clyde. An agreement of confidentiality was reached by the clubs not to discuss what was said or how the clubs voted. All the clubs that are making statements are breaking that confidentiality. Is that ok for you ?

I agree that it is a good synopsis of what took place at the meeting - but I don't actually see if it confirms how Clyde voted. Apart from the number of words it says exactly the same as the Thistle statement, doesnt it ?

See the thread on the Clyde statement as a possible reason why there is no categorical confirmation one way or the other. More trust is being put on a newspaper report which is wrong as opposed to direct statements of how the Thistle were going to vote.(in another thread someone posted an email he received from David Beattie)

This is obviously the reason that their is no categorical no in the Thistle statement. He is upholding a promise of confidentiality made to the other SFL clubs. He is acting with integrity ?

I don't think the default position on a newspaper story should ever be it is truth The national newspaper also said Brechin voted yes - but they have stated on their website that they voted no. It seems you are prepared to believe other clubs but not your own

Dark passenger I guess your last comment is directed to me. I didn't say that was what I thought. Trotter is making an assumption about how the vast majority of fans feel just as he is assuming that because the board haven't made their statement clear then they probably voted yes. You know what they say if you assume something - it makes an ass out of u and me. If you don't believe he voted no even though he said he would, would you believe it if he said so on the web site or do you need to see the voting paper.

Not everybody uses the Internet, Craig. Probably not the majority of people and probably not the majority of Thistle fans.
