  1. 3 years accounts can be waived (I think) , reading the SFA/L rules is bonkers as more often than not they conradict each other
  2. The Rangers" ie Zombie Newco Rangers will be difficult to punish if they claim to be a completely new entity, however if they claim that then they will eb treated like any new applicant club to the SFL which means applying for a place in SFL3 and if they succeed at a vote they get into the league. Im really hoping the SFL meeting today comes out and says Zombie Rangers to SFL3 is the only option, i fear anything different will end up with fanswalking away from a lot of clubs never to return. The club have to choose , do they want the lifeblood of their clubs to continue supporting them or do they want the 30 pieces of silver to get a one off payment from the h*ns ? TO me its an easy choice, you dont **** off your key customer base for a quick few quid. Thistle are now completely aware of how a lot of us are feeling after many emails and phone calls etc , Morton and Falkirk fans have done the same surely they nip this in the bud today and we can go back to supporting our own clubs again and not having to care whether we are being stiched up
  3. Hope you are right Norge , just wanna get back to supporting Thistle and not caring whether some areshole who runs whatever league is trying to drop a Zombie football club in the same league.
  4. Leggo is ******* brilliant been reading a lot of his stuff linked from the Pie and Bovril megathread. You can just imagine an old jakey sitting randomly hammering keys while he downs his tenth superlager of that day to come up with that shit. I think the mad old basatrd even wrote a book which is marginally worse than his daily rantings

    ..

If we were to get proper league reconsutrion , say to 14 team top league from next season, absolutely 100% guaranteed 2 promotion spots every year (no play offs), tv deal for SFL1 and various other concessions then I may be willing to reconsider being a grmupy ******* about all this. However if the plan is for the same leagus tructure just different names and Zombie Rangers in beside us then what is the point in paying to watch a league that is already fixed in one teams favour ? The only options we as a group of fans is to withhold season ticket cash or not turn up for games and to make sure we keep the pressure on the people trying to force this through. FWIW I dont think it will happen, only needs 8 teams in the SFL to say no and its a non starter. The likely outcome is Zombie Rangers are suspended for a year and the authorities get a full season to sort this out properly instead of on the back of a fag packet done over a weekend.
  6. Jackie did start off by saying he was against Rangers in the first and has said that all through the programme so far. What did you expect with the Beattie question ? No way on earth is he gonna call out his chairman on national radio IMO. Fudged it pretty well tbh , although I think Chris jack at the Eventing Times may be getting a lack of stories from Thistle for a wee while.
  7. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2163489/Fans-fight-SFA-warned-expect-small-clubs-bow-down.html Raith Chairman speaking total sense. Cmon Beattie just say the same thing and all is well once again. The glasgow papers defo have an agenda to get Zombie Rangers as high up as possible but we all need to keep the pressure on the people in charge of our game to make sure this *******isation of the league structure doesnt happen. Ive mailed the club, SFA and SFL with my thoughts. Simply put , vote yes to Rangers and Thistle lose out on ST money and Centenary Fund cash , vote no and im there ASAP to renew my season ticket. One simple "NO" comment from Dundee United and their season ticket sales went through the roof. Not saying ours will do the same but they will get mine and many others who have been holding off for whatever reasons.
  8. IMO we just have to keep putting pressure on them via email, phone calls, letters , whatever can be done to make sure they are aware of how every fan in Scotland feels about this. If it looks like we arent being listened to then its a case of not going back which for most of us will be a very difficult thing to do. TBH all this may become purely academic if the SFA tribunal acts as it should and suspends them from the game for at least a year, and from speaking to a few ex-Rangers fans I think thats the option that gives them the time to sort out their clubs issues plus allows the SFA and SPL/SFL time to sort out a proper league reconstruction if that is what they really want to do and prove that all this "talking" is not just a panic plan to help Zombie Rangers survive. All this pandering over a vile and bigotted club from those in charge of our game just shows the lack of morals and financial corruption that is blighting not just Scottish football but the game worldwide. Money talks and to **** with what fans want to happen is pretty much the mantra.
  9. Kind of bog standard reply. Decent enough but not enough to make me head to Firhill with my wallet open. Will wait and see how things progress next week
  10. The club has to make a statement ASAP about this A simple no we will not support rangers into SFL1 will be enough for most , re:SPL2 , I think it needs a full EGM to be put in place which needs 92 teams to vote and I think 21 days notice. Far to close to the season IMO
  11. "In everything that we do, football must always be the first and most important element that we take into consideration. Football is a game before being a product, a sport before being a market, a show before being a business." Taken from UEFA's values. Made the club away of this via email , thankfully not renewd my season ticket yet so have advised them thats not happening till we get clarification that Thistle will not vote for any Zombie Rangers to get directly into SFL1/SPL2 or whatever ******* name they will call any new league.
  12. I can understand his viewpoint on this , 2 games v the h*ns and if they are right about a revamped Glasgow Cup to give Sky at least 2 OF games (talking about a leageu style tournament here) then at least 1 game v each arse cheek at Firhill maybe on the TV , in one season we could feasibly clear the debts that hang over us. As much as it would be a reall boot in the sack to accept them into div 1 the scenario above is a massive win for Thistle and one Beattie is quite right to consider.
  13. Still think Zombie Rangers is the best way to wind up the fans of the club-formally-known-as-Rangers Also asking who their big team is gets a good angry reaction
  14. If they apply to transfer the SFA membership and SPL "share" then they would have to accept any sanctions against the football club formally known as Rangers - they are claiming that the company that owned Rangers went tits up but in effect the club itself didnt , but they cant have it both ways. 1 - If they say they are the same club , they get hit with every sanction and punishment under the sun for 10+ years of cheating.. Which according to SPL rules is the usually waffle of fines, points deductions, suspension or expulsion. 2 - If they apply for a fresh licence as a completely new club then they have to apply alongside Cove Rangers and Spartans for the vacant SFL3 position as everyone would move up a place. Given the 10+ years of cheating and the complete lack of remorse or any sort of apology then as far as I am concerned **** them , kick them out and make them wait a year before reapplying. The SPL2 nonsense should only come in alongside full reconstruction which is too late for this year. Take a season to sort it out , kick Zombie Rangers out to give them time to sort themselves out, If it means next year once everything is hammered out they end up in SPL2 then so be it, they have been out for a year and thats a decent punishment.
  15. **** yeah if thats true , got a day ? Last time was possibly th emost pished I have ever been at a game
  16. The binding contract is dependant on Rangers being in the SPL next year as far as most people understand (I got bored after trying to read the CVA). As that cannot be guaranteed at present then no sale can take place. The SPL report into the dual contracts is due on Friday , if it goes against them thats it they should be completely gone after that day
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d2V6v6Xa-BI
  18. It should be argued that having a side letter promising payments via EBT as well as an offical contract , is in effect a second unregistered contract. SPL will hold off until any newco vote is taken place then retrospectively "punich" old Rangers and all will be as good as new as far as they are concerned. ******* stinks everything about them actually is worse than anyone ever thought. Just think we may have had a Scottsih Cup final if they hadnt been playing the likes of Nerlinger that day :'(
  19. Heard that rumour too can only be because the BBC are going to broadcast something that will force their hand to release the information. Dongcaster would quite happily sit on the info if it meant Rangers getting back into the SPL via a newco. Dongcaster is an absolute smug face tool and should be removed from dealing with the SPL ASAP. Firstly his ascertation that the clubs wanted a 10 team league (apart from the Infirm they didnt) and now this Newco is the same as a CVA bollocks he is peddling. Hes either got to have some horrible pictures of certain charmen in compromising positions or he really is a deluded twat.
  20. Fixutres are due out mid June. If as is likely HMRC refuse a CVA then it can be dragged out forever. Safest option is to declare the dual contract/EBT investigation ASAP and boot them out the league. Everyone moves one place up (woohoo 5th ) and a new club is admitted to Division 3. Whether thats newRangers or Spartans or whoever it doesnt matter the process needs to be started now. Amazing how some of the most rabid pro-Rangers media are now starting to crawl under rocks as they are beginning to realise this is the end game. 5 years ago most of us would never have heard about a lot of this. Forums, Twitter etc have made it much easier for people to get their hands on information and form a relatively informed opinion on things , Pity that our idiot media have only just got this idea of using Google
  21. Quite enjoyed the game, much better watching football where we actually have to care a bit about the outcome. Thought Dumbarton played well in the first half , Airdrie shouldve at least equalised although Dumbarton missed a good chance just at the end before the sending off. Looked like a full house as well
  22. WHy not do it before the last home friendly and then offer some crazy raffle prize like being on the bench for the freindly game ? Also needs to be in the Alan Rough lounge as the Aitken Suite was too small to cope with the crowd the last time.
  23. Dont think its much speculation tbh. We are probably spending the same amount of cash on the squad as we did last year. The £35k raised via the Friday Night Ball thing and the Firhill Cup will go a long way to ensuring the youthsetup is fully funded and may allow some of the funding previously marked for that to be given to JM. I would suspect that we still have enough left over to add at least 2 players over the summer if the right ones become available - Welsh plus a striker would be ideal. Still think we may end up losing a couple to serious bids from down south , Sinclair being favourite to move on if an acceptable bid is received.
  24. The adverts are not new they have been there since macB started sponsoring us. Might be an idea to change the thread title a bit
