  1. No. Nothing to do with his performance as a manager. I'd be fighting a losing battle if I tried to argue it here, so I won't even try.
  2. Essentially this is what we had prior to the boardroom coupe. The operational board was the shareholders, who elected the board of directors. OK, so the shareholders probably got it wrong in appointing some members of the previous board, but the basic principal is the same.
  3. Sorry, still don't like McCall (not that I like Caldwell either)
  4. I think that is against the rules of this thread
  5. I’m sure that feelings are mutual and GRE would be given a life ban if TfE take over
  6. We do know his plan is to GIFT the shares to TfE. Once given they are not his to withdraw.
  7. He is gifting the shares. He can’t withdraw that as they are not his. He can withdraw the training complex and academy, but since we won’t have them without his support, we would be no worse off than we are now. He is not and afaik has never funded day to day running of PTFC
  8. I think it also important to point out that whatever we think is irrelevant. At the end of the day all that matters is whether enough of the current shareholders decide they want to sell to one side or the other, or even someone else. Whether that is for financial gain or for the good of Thistle (or both) is their decision
  9. The important point that many have failed to grasp is that this is not new money into PTFC. It is money to buy out the shareholders and the propco owners plus restoring finance to the academy and training ground. It is not £10m to suddenly spend on a new striker.
  10. You should be to ensure proper governance over those who make the operational decisions. Something that is possible if TfE get control, but not if there is a private buyer.
  11. They must have known about the consortium offer before removing Low, so either they didn't try before, or something else pissed him off.
  12. I could not agree more Further, I don't see what the issue is with TfE getting the money from Colin Weir, a bank or if there were 1,000,000 million thistle supporters all signing up. The fact is that they sold the idea to him and it was an idea that he felt he could support.
  13. OK, following your argument, why was that person not OK with Colin talking to PTFC representatives ?
  14. I can only assume that David Beattie and his associates didn't try very hard. Earlier today I personally spoke with Colin Weir on a non-Thistle related matter. I had to make 2 phone calls and then he called me back. It could not have been much easier.
  15. That is the best reason I’ve heard yet for why Lee/Conway were interested
  16. He is providing the funds to buy the shares for TfE. Whether or not this is £10m is not known, however it is not pumping into PTFC, but money to buy out the shareholders
  17. Are you in the know with TfE as well as the current board ? I'll certainly give TfE a fair hearing
  18. What business experience did Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg have before they started their companies, but hey, why not just cast these guys aside before even listening to what they have to say. I too have concerns, but I am prepared to listen to what they have to offer and give them the benefit of doubt on the set up. TfE were only formed a few weeks ago and I'm sure that their model and mode of operating is evolving.
  19. But by supporting TfE you will get some say in the TfE decision process. If you don’t like what is being proposed or who they are appointing then you have your democratic right to vote against it (or withdraw support). Not sure what part of that people aren’t getting.
  20. Going to be controversial and get some thumbs down, but we need a striker who can score regularly, not a has been who can’t get in the Ayr team and his only goals this season have been agains a non-league side and a team playing with 9 men. No room for sentimentality in football
  21. When did a Thistle player last have 2 good games in a row ? He should be dropped as by the law of averages he is going to have a stinker. The other law to consider is that Thistle performance is inversely related to fans expectations on this forum. Based on the above comments, a draw is a good call
  22. AHHAHHHHAHHHAAHA Q1 Cowdenbeath Q2 Dundee Utd
