    There's a theme emerging in each of these cases. They tell the club "don't worry compo won't be a problem". Then as soon as the ink is dry on the contract it's "we are not legally obliged to give you one thin dime"

    Frankly I think any offer we made to waive Donnellys compensation, reduced figures etc should now be off the table and we ask SFA / lawyers to pursue the full amount.

    Things are starting to take shape. A few more signings this week would be good. No doubt a lot of SPL clubs will start shedding players so it puts Archie in a good position to negotiate with those he wants to keep.

    More Twitter gossip from Spencey. Utd offered 2 payments of 40k or lump sum of 50k. We wanted 80k up front - how unreasonable! Offer has now been withdrawn. Thistle refusing to comment other than saying its with the lawyers

    Whilst paying them more doesn't necessarily make them better, you can't seriously suggest that someone like Bannigan should be happy with a 10-15% increase? In the year that he won awards, got capped for his country, played a huge part in our championship winning season we tell him that's all there is?? I know how I'd feel.

    I wonder if McMillan will be offered a deal as he can play RB or centre back. Good signs that Archie knows what he wants and isn't looking to make himself popular.
