The best place to stand used to be opposite the main stand next to the fence with their support.That was back in the day when atmosphere and enjoyment was encouraged rather than being herded in and out of grounds by police,stewards etc.

There used to be a dancing on top of the old Apollo as well,playhouse maybe,cant remember but mind going to see Toyah at the Apollo in suit and tie before going to it and the bouncers in the Apollo absolutly wetting themselves on the choice of tie.It had a scary lift up to it as well.

The Devils Elbow beside Queen St station used to be a good pub to bunk off college to in my youth,video jukeboxes were all the rage then,class.A pub called Midas below where Budda is also used to be a good one,a bloke that looked like Billy Thomson served behide bar.Kept waiting to see if he would drop a pint to verify it was him.

The biggest problem with Halliwell is that there is no pressure on him from any other keeper to keep his standards up.I doubt Hinchie will ever start another game and the young boys, who knows.

I dont think McCall knows what to do himself which is the major problem.His recent comments about playing ugly,hard to beat and find a system for the players is something a new manager would say after a week in the job.Short answer is we need some pace in the team to stretch games,the long answer would take weeks to write.

Wullie is a one man wrecking machine, unfortunatly he takes out his own teammates.Robbo during the week and now maxi.One way of making sure you play i guess.
