That's a very valid point.
As to a role for Liam, I tend to agree. It's fair to say he has assisted in a few goals but that was when he was scoring as well. I did think when he came on at E End Pk he made a difference by taking a bit of weight of the rest of the team (Erskine had done fine but is too prone to lose the ball). That's hardly a ringing endorsement of his value as we were content not to lose the match or at least happy with a goalless draw.
Suspect Liam will be offered terms but they'll be more in line with the average wage at Firhill. I favour Archie over Robbo simply as left sided defenders are harder to replace. Rowson is another I'd keep on. I think he could always drop back into central defence as well. I'd see him as more than capable of playing the two roles McNamara has done this season.
It's got to be said that, tho' just now is the ideal time to be arranging extensions to contract, we're clearly not in a financial position to do more than routine signings in that area. Getting the cash flow in order must take precedent.
