  1. I have bought a few of the t-shirts and they are very good plus a few "bits and pieces" like keyrings, etc and never had a problem. Good point by kni though about suggestions for what people would buy but is not stocked as Greaves are good at taking suggestions and acting on them. For me I would like to see a fridge magnet (just because the one I have is the old logo whilst everything else I have is the new one).
  2. I have been impressed with David Beattie's comments in the programme since the changes in the Boardroom took place and would hope that he can address this issue in Saturday's programme or give some indication as to the strategy that the Club is going to employ to deal with the financial situation. I believe that one of the directors was interviewed on Friday and something should be in the Herald next week which will look at the changes behind the scenes, etc.
  3. The only people who would know that are the directors of the Club, it will be interesting to see what their review reveals and the solutions that they come up with.
  4. I hope that we can get a good crowd for this game as attendances (as discussed in another thread) are a bit of a worry, and that is for most teams not just ourselves. There were 1,800 at Morton's game against high flying Dunfermline today and 2,100 at top of the table Raith's game against QoS - that has got to be a worry for the home teams. If the Club are going to promote this game with one of the excellent posters that gets produced now and again I hope that they can get it out early in the week to give maximum time for it to make an impact.
  5. I have not been contacted by the Club Board and I do not expect to be in the future either.
  6. As it is now on the Trust's website I can let you know that I have resigned from the Trust Board with immediate effect. I would like to apologise to those people who feel that I am letting them down by not seeing out my term, it was a very difficult decision but it is one that I feel is right. Quite simply I do not have what it takes to get the Trust to the level that the fans want (and deserve). To use a footballing analogy, the Trust needs its big name players to get on the ball and dictate play. Unfortunately what I can offer is only the role of a journeyman professional - reliable, safe no risk passes but ultimately not a matchwinner. I hope that my stepping down will allow someone who has more, for want of a better word, charisma to get involved and that they can enthuse and unite people behind them. Martin Towers
  7. Just a reminder about the free funds that are available from easyfundraising: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/home/raise_funds_for_free/
  8. The something concrete would be (I believe) the Trust inviting reps from the supporters' buses to the next Trust Board meeting with a view to co-opting them (these invites have gone out). As for the other stuff I think it would be better for those who resigned to articulate their specific reasons as I, as a remaining member of the Board, would not wish to misrepresent my former colleagues in any way.
  9. I must confess that the document I have attached a link to is not one that I am as familiar with as I should be (however I will be doing a lot of reading). At the moment I have to say that I am unsure as to what the next course of action is - that may not be want people want to hear but I think it is important that you do hear the truth. http://www.jagstrust.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/PTSA-Constitution.pdf
  10. Firstly can I say "thanks" to David, Tom & Graeme for all their efforts for the Trust and wish them all the best in the future. To clarify the situation as to who remains on the Trust Board - there is myself (Martin Towers), jags365 (Donald Larmour - Secretary), Morag McHaffie (Board Rep), Maggie Forsyth (Treasurer) & Fiona Harvey (Membership Secretary). I am sure that people will have a lot of questions and will want to discuss matters, as always I shall be in the Trust kiosk prior to kick off at the Morton game on the 13th of November and would be glad to speak to anyone who wishes to come along. This is a diffcult time for the Trust (I don't deny that) and I hope that you can stick with us whilst we try and gets things sorted. Martin
  11. With Christmas looming large on the horizon here is some info on retailers who sell toys, etc: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/home/toys_&_children/
  12. In the month of October a total of £27.54 was raised, this compares with £20.65 in October 2009 - a great effort and very much appreciated by the Trust Lets keep this up for Nov & Dec and we will definitely pass the £300 mark for the year, with it being a new month there is a new competition and details are given below. Thanks again for your support! http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/free-competition-uk/2010-11-yellow-moon-baker-ross/
  13. Just to keep you updated, we were able to hand out 300 flyers about easyfundraising at yesterday's game (thanks to everyone who took one) and an update was in the Trust's page of the programme (which I know you all read even if won't admit to it). With today being the last day of October I will post the total raised in the month on here tomorrow. We are still one person short of having 150 registered members so if someone who has not registered could do so it would make me a very happy man (I know, I must get out more). Thanks again for your support
  14. Hello, just to point you in the direction of some information regarding a prize draw the Trust will be holding. http://www.jagstrust.co.uk/
  15. I thought we were okay on the first half and then upped the tempo in the second, got the goal and I was never worried about them scoring. I was only worried that numpty of a ref would give them a soft penalty or let a blatantly offside goal stand because he was completely in favour of Cowdenbeath the whole game
  16. A late reminder for today's game! If you want to come along to the Trust kiosk in the North Enclosure of the JH Stand and join either the Trust or Centenary Fund (or both) prior to kick off we would be very pleased to see you! If you just want to come along for a chat that is fine as well. You can also join the Trust online by visiting our website - www.jagstrust.co.uk.
