    A few years ago when I was up at Firhill collecting my Metz ticket he rather sternly told me to 'behave yourself' leaving me feeling like an errant schoolboy.

    St. Mirren have the same tactical masterplan each year - to hope there's one team in the league worse than them. If one team sums up the turgid state of the Scottish League structure where you can stay in the top league for years and contribute hee haw it's them.

    No doubt Harkins is a good player but he's content on the SPL journeyman merry go round now. Personally I'd rather spend the cash getting younger players with a future signed / re-signed.

    Any player out of contract with no compensation due and a contract offer still unsigned should just be freed now. The days of journeymen players holding clubs to ransom or using them as bargaining tools are gone now.

    Ground criteria for the Northern Premier League states: It must be possible for spectators to view the match, either standing or seated, for the full length of at least 3 sides of the playing area. In theory a bit of work at Firhill required even for that level.
