  1. Maybe the club should look to do a "Season Ticket" club like a xmas saving club but for ST's pay in as normal but when the teams away pay the standard admission fee into a fund, so about £40 a month over the year, season tickets bought for the next year and the scheme can start again
  2. Time would be my answer a decade or so of crap football, board members p#"¤ing off the support etc takes time to get the fans faith back, its like a reputation the hardest thing to build up but the easiest to destroy
  3. Taken by Billy Macdonald if I remember correctly, was raging after that game and the way we capitulated to Ayr which nearly killed us
  4. Looks like my Da will be buying my Xmas present on Saturday then
  5. During the save the jags period, wasthe club actually placed in administration or not?
  6. Nonsense the teams need to cut their cloth accordingly, where will the TV deal be if the old firm disappear to the EPL/Midatlantic/Legoland league as they keep promising or more likely Rangers mkII hit financial meltdown again
  7. A continual Yo-Yo for many teams, yet again the SPL come up with an idea that looks like it was thought up at the end of an LSD come down, more teams will shut up shop, top 8 will play each other 4 times a season (plus cups) with fans already moaning about the repatition, but when did the fans count as long as the old firm can get their 4 games of hate the rest can take what is left
  8. I'd be interested, back for Xmas and Neerday failing that lets maybe look to better weather
  9. As was Billy Abercrombie on his debut at firhill against Killie if I remember right
  10. What I find strange is it doesnt catapult Sevco up the league any quicker, if all goes to there plan it will still take 3 years __________Old_________________New Set up 2012-13 .....SFL3................................SFL3 2013-14......SFL2................................SFL2 2014-15......SFL1................................SFL1 (Maximum Place 20th in Scotland to start with top 16 in new League) 2015-16......SPL..................................New SPL
  11. Me, but i was drunk at that SFA choose the manager thingy at Hampden that day
  12. Ok so how does that work for 2nd division teams they'll still have 6 more games to play
  13. The phone & internet option allows for distant fans or fans at work etc to get a chance if its a straight pick up after a game then can't see that helping
  14. How about this for a plan. 1) Tickets go on sale to Season Ticket holders (&9 game package folk) for X days by phone, internet or pickup at club 2) Tickets go on sale to the rest of fans by phone, internet or pickup at club limited to 2 per person on a first come first serve basis till sold out
  15. Is there still going to be a split or 1st will have 30 games (37 with a split) 2nd 36 games (as current) 3rd 30 games (37 with a split), and is it 2 up 2 down, playoffs???
  16. Would it not make more sense if a 14,000 venue could befound alowing for both sets of fans and some neutrals who may catch the bug? or for fathers/ mothers to have the chance to take their kids freind with them too, there will be plenty of regular fans who's brothers/sisters/wifes/husbands/partners now want to go too, as it will be an occasion. I'm flying in for it and I beleive another few from here are too guys who can't attend regularly and have to pick and choose based on holidays etc and their will be plently like me all over the world who will be wanting to do the same, if we are still top of league come March I imagine our home support could be in the 4000 mark especially if its still tight, and with QOS doing well too they will have their Nomads and fans friends families etc looking for a good day out, plus for both sides its an actual chance of winning something unlike a cup semi against Rangers or Celtic
  17. Think he has a valid point how will Nomad fans like myself be able to purchase tickets, even those with Season Tickets that can only make it back for a game or 2 a season. When you take the sponsers allocation, the other 28 clubs players and officials allocation, the SFA and SFL big wigs plus Livi's allocation that will probably be around the 1000 mark, allow for segregation and were probably just over the 4000 mark for each club, and every jags fan and his dug will be wanting a ticket, we've been waiting 40 years for a final, we sold 11 or 12000 for hampden in a game we wouldnt win and I remember the mad dash for tickets for the qtr final against Celtic in the Scottish cup round about 88
  18. There's an old Japenese proverb that says every great journey starts with one small step, well going with the reports on here and feedback from my Dad several large steps have been taken and all in the right direction. Well done to the Onethistle team for their efforts and ideas and with better communication from the club happening and the team barnstorming the opposition the pride and hopes coming back to the club. Can't wait to get back at Xmas
  19. Rumours of Rangers asking Alloa for 6 weeks grace to pay the share of the cup money, maybe not going so swimmingly at Ibrox
  20. And I thought Greene had stated that all football debts were paid, but along with Hearts Rapid Vienna are also waiting on £800K
  21. Nervous, buzzing, homesick, keep the tweets coming lads and lassies forus nomads. Jags top on me and the wee one. Just don't lose keep us top and in the fight, but a 4-0 would be great
  22. And does the biggest implosion of our time or in footballs history learn from its mistakes? No Still spending money it doesn't have with a £7,000,000 a year playing wage (As mentioned by Greene the other night), a reported £300,000 a year policing bill, Ibrox & Murray park costing around £1,500,000 a year to maintain plus the back room staff and administrative wages probably another million they'll be trading at a huge loss this year (rumoured to be near £2,000,000), their 1st year after liquidation and god help them if they don't go up or get hit with more sanctions. We and many other clubs have learnt the lessons of the past to some extent and have cut costs accordingly. No more 6 figure signings from St Mirren, no signings for cash at all, if we don't have it we don't spend it. A few are still trying to outplay the banks and the system but they will get caught out sooner or later
  23. And thats the key, cut your cloth accordingly, every household and well run company in the country does that. When in a recession look for savings in the good days invest for the future, not the spend spend spend of Rangers, Dundee, Dunfermiline and Livi in the past I don't believe St Mirren or Caley have any debt either
  24. Lets just wait to see what happens on that one the oldco isn't formally liquidated yet so no action on that matter can be taken, but once BDO finally shut it down Hector looks like he will come hunting them again* *(Aparently to keep myself, or my friend at portculless house right )
  25. Well they are better supported than the Norwegian leagues and the population is roughly the same
