Have to totally agree with stolenscone and find it intriguing how there's just enough in there to force an 'abstain' rather than a vote in favour of the amendments. The JT is a busted flush and no better off now than it was when it was stumbled upon before and resurrected. How membership can be up is utterly bemusing, but may have something to do with the fact myself and my family continue to be treated as members and have stamps wasted on us.

I'd been wondering about him after having to stare at him every day on my Jags calendar. Glad to see the big man's got a club and hope it works out for him.

How many corners did we have against Livi. It seemed every second post TtB made on the official text thread was about us having one!! We've been utterly useless at corners ever since I can remember.

If that is the case, on the back of meeting with DB, then why the need to pollute people's letterboxes with gobbledygook that infers that they are still unhappy with the changes the 'custodians' are trying to bring about? I thought the EGM was very professional. Maybe the build-up to it and the explaining of everything hadn't been for some but I learned everything I had to about the changes being made from the presentation offered at the EGM.

Organised AND professional. Like everything that has been done under this Board's tenure. What we as fans need to do now is step up to the plate and give these guys something to play with and build with. Like Maxi said if there are ventures brought forward by the club we need to be doing our bit to participate and promote them. The people we have within the club can only do so much and we need the fans, whether that be through an organisation, off their own backs our through something like the WeAreThistle Fundraising site to do our bit. Yes.. 100% It is not too much to ask that the club be run professionally and like a business. This is all these guys are looking to do and it is long overdue. For too long we've been run like a bowling club. As David Beattie said it's time to forget about the past, no matter how shoddy it was and look to the future. My only concern is the power still lying within the hands of others, but I take DB's assurances that where the power lies do all have Thistle at heart.

I presume the membership will be asked at the the meeting they are having on the 5th October. I might even attend myself and vote against their short-sightedness since they insist on still sending me out all their pish and wasting stamps.

Reading between the lines of all this I can only see this going one way...

The ref and the linesmen are miked up so we'll never know if there is any input from the so-called assistants. I think they're an utter waste of time and money, these guys are probably picking up about £300 for running up and down a line for 90 minutes with very little, to no, visible input into the game.
