  1. Just a pity we never got the chance to give Robbo the same kind of ovation that he fully merits
  2. He was there with his assistant David Kelly. I presumed that he was trying to pick up some tips he could take into his wee meetings that they have as he builds his strategy for his next managerial job... Billy's Command Centre.. Either that or he's just got plenty of time on his hands since TS hit the clink..
  3. In a nutshell. I fear that nothing will change and the same people will be sitting in the same cliques playing the same silly games come the next EGM. This is a CRUCIAL period for our club and as Honved has said this is about keeping the club alive.
  4. Is that not a conflict of interest?
  5. Kris Doolan's goal v Falkirk is in the top ten... SFL- Goal of the Month, July/August Some crackers in there
  6. I'm not getting on your back for not stepping up to the plate. I'm merely trying to point out something that I think a lot of fans forget, or simply don't realise. We may well have Ami, and she may well be the 'Press Officer and Marketing Exec', but just because the title suggests that she should be taking something like this on board doesn't mean she's got the time to do it in amongst every other aspect of the day-to-day running of a football club that is more important, ie preparing everything for a matchday. Too often there are cries of the club should be doing this, the club should be doing that. People really need to wake up and realise we are a very under resourced football club who needs every little bit of help it can get to put anything in to practice. As I've pointed out earlier, that's why the guys here at WeAreThistle started the fundraising site. I don't see it being inundated with offers of help or ideas, and what they have done is a very good idea for a club in our situation. The Trust in my eyes is a deid duck goosed. To ask it to take something like this on board when they've got board-bashing to be done is ridiculous.
  7. Did you not grasp what the last couple of posts said? What do you think 'THE CLUB' to be? The Trust is a completely separate ineffective issue, but what resources do you think the Club have at hand to make something like this happen?
  8. Exactly... and precisely why a WeAreThistle Fundraising site has been set-up. WAT Fundraising This is about raising awareness rather than funds, but the WAT site allows people to look for volunteers and help with any ideas they have. It's time people got off their arses and did something to help our football club and realised that we have an extremely small set-up at Firhill who would be grateful of any ideas and help to implement them.
  9. Surely we can muster up some free bottles of MacB to give to the students which would be a great freebie. It could be used for drinking or washing in and the fragrance of the flavour would help get rid of the musty smell from the charity shop clothes!! It's a win-win..
  10. £17 lost from me. I would've been there on the Saturday but am working Friday night. Worth giving a go, but as has been pointed out when we have the Kids go Free and it appears, in my eyes, to be working, then why jeopardise this. What the game needs is regular HOME-AWAY-HOME-AWAY football so people can get into the pattern of going to the games. The fixtures are all over the place and flinging in Friday night games that might not always fall as kindly as Jags v Morton is a nonsense when crowds are dying on their arse. If this is the best the SFL can come up with to 'change the game' then we're more fecked than I ever thought.
  11. Totally agree. The song has to go now before we give the cretins that have dragged us into their shame a 'We told you so' moment. To think of the OF running off to the polis to grass us up for belittling their vile take on life is astonishing. For the polis to fall for it even more so. Anyway, let's bury the song in the history vault of PTFC.
  12. Bit heavy for a Monday morning that is it not? FTOF
  13. They're only going to become ready by getting some game time though. I can see a few youngsters heading out on loan this week if we can.
  14. Need to check with the shareholders first..
  15. With all the controversy of the last week and the fear of the Warriors taking their funny-shaped balls elsewhere there's never been a better time to help get some more money into the club's coffers... BUMP
  16. Cardiff, Boro and Scotland Under 21s interested in Sinclair
  17. McManus will be the replacement for Stevie Lovell
  18. You pay your £10 and the Trust don't have a further EGM to see how the membership want to vote next time. £10 well spent?
  19. This amendment was agreed to at the EGM and was to be written back into the articles. The Trust still voted against. If there are no plans for the JT to have a further EGM and ask the membership before the next club EGM then where does this leave things?
  20. From my recollection more time was spent complaining that the EGM was at 10am rather than objecting to the insufficient information. The changes to the articles were meticulously explained by a top corporate lawyer who was dumbstruck at the resistance to them and who if I recall correctly wasn't exactly grilled about the changes by the JT reps. The phrase 'insufficient engagement' hits it on the head for me. They want a board rep.
  21. I expelled very little energy in writing that. As has been pointed out the amendments in no way removes shareholders rights. The lack of AGM factor may well have been a bee in the hairnet of the Trust but a motion was raised that it would be written in and this was agreed by the board. This made no difference to the clamour for further needless consultation. Anyway, I was merely asking the question of how many paid-up members the Trust now has, was 800 or so if I recall correctly after the initial rebirth, and how many attended the AGM that decided which way to vote?
  22. I'd like to know how many paid-up members the Jags Trust has and how many of these members were at the JT AGM when it was decided that the Trust would vote against the Boards changes to the articles?
