on Clyde radio at half 5 that hearts wanted to sign rudi ska cel and due to one in one out it would be likely Ryan would leave but no mention of where he would be going

I have a lot of the Jags games from this season recorded via the SKY planner - does anyone know if its possible to copy them onto computer hard drive, dvd or disk? Thanks

You would have to ask the Manager that but I have said for some time that Craigen could do with a couple of games on the bench. Some might say I come across as anti-Craigen but the guy has made an incredible step up from University football to SPL football in little over a year, he is still learning (as is Lawless, Bannigan and Elliot). To be fair he started really well in the SPL and has had at least 4-5 assists for goals this season, however he still needs to be dropped when he is off form and in the last few games Lawles has probably done more to merit a starting place than Craigen or Elliot. I should add for all I have criticised Craigen he has the makings of an excellent player, as does Bannigan and Lawless and so does Archie have the potential to be an excellent Manager - understandably in their first season in the SPL they all can make mistakes and lose form. I think next season will see an improvement from them all (providing we can keep Lawless). When they do lose form as a couple of them have lately I dont think a spell on the bench is going to be overly damaging to them.

I said played a possible part only, not was the sole reason.

You are wrong my friend........ He was successful with the application he submitted for the Queen of the South post
-
Does anyone think we would have lost if Bannigan had played when we were 3-1 up? If not then either an overzealous referee or Stuart's stupidity over a week ago has played a part in costing us 2 points
-
I certainly wouldnt be disappointed if Stevie Lawless was to extend his contract. Anyone wins the lottery please seriously consider a 5 year deal for Lyle Taylor
-
Everybody is understandably frustrated but I think you have hit the nail on the head especially with the budget. Archie's number one target was Lyle Taylor during the summer we just couldnt get him. He is learning all the time and I think the way he has conducted himself in getting Lyle in and getting Gary Fraser has been highly more professional than some of the more experienced players. His main weakness to me is maybe being reluctant at dropping some players when they have not had good games and again he will learn from this. This season is a huge learning curve for Archie but if we stay up nothing less that a great sucess and he will have the experience to kick us on more from there.

You never know a certain Manager residing at Tannadice may have been circling
-
Even they couldnt have done the same damage that a certain William Hiddelston did to that club mate
-
its frustrating but look how far we have come in the last few weeks where people are raging about a draw. This is against a Ross county side spending massively far more than we can. Make no mistake killie and st mirren have now well and truly been dragged back into the dogfight and with Taylor now in we will never be more confident of beating them.I'm not completely sure Fraser was match fit and I can see why Archie didnt play him. It will be next season when he will be a mainstay of the team.

I think the way Archie has been talking we will make an offer for McGeough at some point during the window
-
Terrible news, for me he has been our player of the year so far. No way we should release him. Hope we can get him on a new contract and his get his brother as well. Off the pitch Ossie is a real gent and also an important part of the great team spirit. I also think he is a real inspiration to the younger members of the team - his sheer commitment is for all to see, never shirks a tackle or hides and gives his all - an ideal role model for many

Excellent news. Welcome back Gary and all the best I have to say I have been really impressed with how this has been carried out by Gary and Partick Thistle and most of all by Archie. Gary has looked like he has grown up after what was a very bad incident. He could have stayed at Bolton and collected far more wages than he would get with us. He has rewarded the club and Archie and shown loyalty by signing a lengthy new deal. If he keeps up his early promise he has the prospect of being one of the big prospects in the game and by signing a long term deal has likely guaranteed Thistle a big deal at some point as well as shown that even if we are relegated he will be here for a bit I have been impressed with the club with this because they have shown that they are willing to give a young player a chance after a bad incident if he is willing to knuckle down and both learn and improve himself which Gary has done so. It also shows Partick Thistle as a club willing to give young players a chance and in my opinion it looks good to the young players we have that Gary who was clearly very highly rated down in England has a real desire to succeed at Partick Thistle Most of all Archie deserves massive credit, despite being new to the Management game he really handled the whole situation very well. I shudder to think how Dick Campbell and Gerry Collins would have behaved. He rated Gary as a huge prospect in the game, saw he had made a bad mistake in a game but rather than throwing him out of the club, wisely taken him under his wing, given the lad a chance to make amends, and show everyone the undoubted potential he has as well as throughout show Gary how much he valued him and how keen he was to get him to sign for Partick Thistle. Very well done Archie

Sorry I forgot to add there was no mention of shields in the article and it looks like 2 players he is very keen to sign are Fraser and Dylan mcgeouch
-
Reading Archie's comments in today's evening times it doesn't look like he has ruled out Dylan mcgeouch at some point in the transfer window. Apologies I don't have a link.
-
very true. We could offer Bolton a percentage of any future sell on even. I would like to think we could offer a few thousand pounds to Bolton especially with the money we must be making from DVD sales and the tag scheme
-
perhaps the Bolton situation could be of advantage to us when it comes to negotiating for Fraser
-
If Coventry have an embargo are they not in the same boat as hearts in that they can't sign a permanent or loan?
-
They might not be centre forwards Will, but Archie has stated on a few occasions he was also looking for his midfield to contribute too a number of goals in a similar way that guys like Erskine, Lawless etc were able too, aside from Lawless there hasnt really been many at all.Agree Baird needs to contribute some goals, however in order to do so he does really need to get more starts, though of course he should be fully behind Doolan and Taylor in the line up. With Mukendi and McGuigan possibly not coming back then I dont think we have any other forwards than those 3 as I presume Duggan is injured just now
-
the sitter he set up for higgy against killie? With your point earlier about the number of minutes on the park surely we could use that for most players such as; Between the Celtic game at firhill and the Celtic away game the following were all starters and would have played some near 900 minutes of football Craigen all I remember is plenty of misplaced chances Banning in that period one infamous duck and a red card Higgy plenty of good footwork but no end product Fox more often than not picking the ball out of the bet Kerr at least started once in that period maybe more and can't remember anything of note Balatoni a red card and being partly responsible for a number of goals I dare say I could go on and on with different players
-
do you think there's any chance we could get him on a permanent deal from Bolton rather than just a loan mate?
-
good to hear mate. I hope he is fully aware of how highly rated he is at Firhill by fans and Archie and Scott and we would be delighted to have him back. What do you think the chances of him returning are proudjag?
-
disagree not surprisingly as I have seen Baird run about all over the park including running back to defence. Certainly never comes across as lazy to me in his few games for us or when he played against us. I know u weren't happy with his one minute 50 second appearance against st johnstone but no one shone that day. As for the not setting up goals he set up a sitter for higgy a couple of weeks ago against killie and has done so in a few other games such as hearts a few months ago
-
it was but so arguably have been the chances many of our others players have missed throughout the season.
